The Waverley Park Residence

This place has such a great personality. Ian has thought of everything and more with the layout and the stuff it's packed with. The apartment block has an amazing community. When we visited there was a neighbourhood street party.

Nothing! The wife complained about lumpy pillows but that's the only thing I can think of!

The location was very convenient and I enjoyed being close to Arthur's Seat. The neighborhood is a bit rough at night, but fine during the day.

Very uncomfortable stay with poor customer service. I stayed for 20 days, which I imagine is substantially longer than most people stay, but my experience did not match other's reviews. The apartment is definitely well decorated, but the apartment is lacking basic/functioning amenities. Off the top of my head the bed is incredibly uncomfortable, the one duvet/blanket provided is thin, the couch is hard, the internet only worked in the living room, the shower leaked for hours after being used, the toilet paper role holder was broken, etc. On top of that the apartment was not very clean when I arrived and I had to spend the first hour cleaning. It was pretty evident that whoever cleaned was not paying close attention, which is not what you want during a pandemic (e.g. half eaten pint of ice cream left in freezer, no soap in bathroom dispenser, spoiled milk in fridge, etc.) This is the first self-catering apartment that I stayed at that did not provide an explanation/orientation book, so I had to guess or text Tony to ask things that could have easily been explained, like how to turn on the heat, where the garbage and recycling went. I had a very negative text exchange with him, so instead just tried to figure things out myself. His customer service was non-existent. I spent a lot of money to stay for 2+ weeks and asked if they would provide more basic amenities after they left me with 1 dishwasher capsule, 2 toilet paper roles, etc despite knowing I was staying for a few weeks. The reply was rude and unhelpful. Finally, this flat is really, really noisy. I could hear one neighbor's TV from 8:00 AM-11:00 PM everyday, could hear another neighbor snoring at night, and was waken up on several evenings at 2:00 AM by a party flat in the building. Would not recommend.
