Castello di Viano

Beautiful location, the castle is amazing , like something out of a fairytale. Room was in the smaller castle building , with patio doors to the garden and two other windows. Very traditional , authentic , furniture and decoration. Bar area and an indoor seating area available for any guests to use. Dinner outside in the garden area was perfect. All staff that we saw during our stay were really lovely and helpful. Evening meal we had was local cuisine and great quality. (For info - their restaurant is closed on a Monday - the staff were happy to suggest local restaurants to us). Breakfast made to order and plenty of choice. Lots of places around the castle grounds to sit and relax and enjoy the amazing castle and views from it.

There is nothing not to like , it’s a beautiful old castle, tastefully renovated and everyone working there clearly cares about the success of the castle as a hotel. We stayed while it was v hot, and there is no air con ( it is an old castle so this is to be expected).

The Castle is magical. A beautifully restored historical site. The lady who received us was very kind and helpful and informative. Our room was very generous and faced breathtaking views. The meals were organized very beautifully and offered us great experiences with locally sourced ingredients and delicious tastes.

Spectacular stay, the property is very special, the views are outstanding, overall a truly unique location, the castle has been sympathetically restored in keeping with its historic importance. The staff were very helpful, the only negative was not having tea/coffee / fridge in room but when asked we were quickly provided with a kettle. Huge thanks, would returned in heartbeat.

Beautiful location, beautiful building, kind staff.

No air conditioning was a surprise for such an expensive accommodation, and more surprising was that they did not have a good fan. It was very hot. Also dinner was good (and the view is amazing), but expensive. We’d had many meals in Italy at this point, and many were better for half the cost.
