A perfect place to enjoy the peace and quiet

A beautiful stay up in the hills, good clean accommodation with ample kitchen facilities to enjoy dinner, or enjoy the restaurant onsite. Breakfast was one of the best! Delicious and made according to your choice.

Lovely countryside place that doesn't leave you hungry

Spacious, well-equipped room and friendly hosts. Delicious dinner with more than generous portions, and our request for a special diet was accommodated.

A stay in the Emilia-Romano hills

The owner and host were so very accommodating and made us all feel welcome. The rooms were large and comfortable and they were adjusted for the makeup of our family units. There was a lovely area to sit outdoors while we were exploring the area. The Agriturismo is in the hills and provides beautiful views.

People who stay here should be aware that there are stairs to deal with.

A terrific base from which to explore the area by foot. Bike or car.

Great Host. Huge rooms with all amenities. You can take your own food and cook but they offer a Good breakfast and dinner. Nice terrace to sit out on and lounge chairs too. Lots of parking. A terrific find !!

All the magic of the Via Mathildica in the comfort of a chestnut-framed villa.

Imagine booking on a whim, after an all night drive following a cancelled flight, and your gracious host not only allows a very, very early check-in, but serves you breakfast and buckets of excellent coffee. Imagine, in the land of Contessa Mathilda's stronghold at Canossa, awaking to the magical brass notes of hunting horns sounding from distant hills, and peering out to see huntsmen working their hounds on "away"! and recall. Imagine the earthy, sweet, sonorous hum of bees around ripened vines. Imagine a menu extraordinaire. Well, no need to imagine. Just stay here. It's worth any drive - and the drive itself will be magical.

Fantastic stay and restaurant

Very nice location in a new and lovingly furnished room. The room was spacious and even had a kitchenette with a small refrigerator. Everything was very clean. It was wonderfully quiet during the night and we slept well. The breakfast was more than sufficient with local and homemade products. The coffee tasted like home :) We also ate in the restaurant and we certainly don't regret it. Fantastically beautiful and local products are processed here seasonally. The food was certainly not expensive. We would love to stay again.

Unfortunately we were in transit and could only stay one night. That is why we were unable to see much of the area. A good reason to go back again...

Great room, great wine, great food, great staff!

Very friendly staff, lovely and extremely spacious rooms, the Lambrusco wine selection is amazing and the food was lovely. Great location and view from the terrace too! And for the coffeelovers; coffee at breakfast is a classic Bialetti moccapot. Alot of parkingspace and well accesible by motorcycle. The owner was also kind enough to help me make a small repair on my motorbike after i sustained some damage to the bodywork for which i cannot thank him enough!

Our host was absolutely wonderful and helpful. More food than you can imagine and it was delicious. Rooms were basic, spotless and more than met our needs. They packed a lovely lunch for us to take with us as we were hiking the Via Matildica del Volto Santo. A quaint, lovely and quiet location. We slept very well.

First and foremost villiam and petty was great. Petty opened the kitchen specially for us and made us deliches diner in no time. We had interesting conversation and we learn about the area and culinary of the region. The place is quiet, calm and comfortable.

Beautiful location amid hills. Quiet, large clean room with large comfy bed. Friendly owner who cooked us a simple supper as restaurant was closed.

Pleasant stay in quiet village with great restaurant

Great restaurant, very friendly owners, spacious room

There was a problem with water leakage but the owner went out of his way to apologise and even offered a full refund (said this never happened before) The region is beautiful but the village was not that special, very small and very quiet

Superb

Villiam is a super friendly host and especially the dinner is amazing. Although Italian is the preferred language, he could help us out in English as well. We've got the room directly under the roof which was extremely spacious. We don't need any TV so its absence didn't bother us. There was even a little heater in the small kitchen. We asked Villiam for cutlery and he was pleased to help us.

Although there were dark curtains in the room, it was super hot inside. We think it's because it's directly under the roof which heats during the day. So during mid summer (it was up to 40 degrees during our stay) we would not recommend sleeping there unless there will be an air conditioner.

It worth going to the nature and beautiful place like there.

We loved the behaviour of the owner and the best room that they gave us. Also the breakfast was superb. The room was big and comfortable. Also the quietness of the place and best view.

We had big problem with heating system that did not let us sleep at all. The heating system was very warm but it started switch on and off every 10 minutes with loud voice that did not let us sleep at all :(

Home away from home

Taking in account that we are talking mountain village, meaning you might need some energy to push a wheelchair, the place was super accessible. Little obstacles where instantly solved by the owners. And the owners, Villiam and Patty, make this places very special, welcoming and warm. Patty's food is incredible. We will definitely return!

Sehr herzliche und zuvorkommende Gastgeber, ich durfte mein Zimmer am zweiten Tag tauschen, da ich krankheitsbedingt schlecht laufen konnte, die Chefin brachte mir dann auch am ersten Abend eine Schinken/Salami/Käse Platte aufs Zimmer, das Essen abends ist fantastico, alles selbstgemacht und frisch zubereitet, typisch Emilia Romagna, lokale Weine, das Frühstück typisch, mit selbstgebackenem Kuchen und sehr leckerem Rührei, Kaffee aus der Bialetti, Zimmer sehr groß mit Küche, Kühlschrank etc. schönes Bad, das Agriturismo liegt unweit von der Burg Canossa, wunderschön zum Wandern oder Rad fahren, bin zum zweiten mal hier, ich hab mich hier sehr wohl gefühlt, wie bei Freunden

Abgelegen aber sehr grosszügiges Zimmer.

Das Zimmer war sehr gross. Leider kein TV, aber den haben wir nicht vermisst. Die Lage ist ein wenig abseits, dafür sehr ruhig. Der Gastgeber hat neben der Unterkunft ein Restaurant, das am Abend Köstlichkeiten anbietet. War lecker!
