Alaskan Adventure Dry Cabins

The choice to stay in a dry cabin was a unanimous decision by my children, and they would all choose to do this again knowing now what it was like. Even though the outhouse was frigid to use in negative temperatures, the warm experience inside the cabin and the bunkbeds and the environment around us was well worth it! Each bunkbed had plenty of sheets and blankets to keep us warm, and the heater in the cabin never seemed to dip in performance even when the door to the outside was left open too long by a child. We appreciated the number of snacks they left out for us, and all the items we needed to reheat the food we had with us. We made good use of the Uno card deck, and some of their other games provided as well! Communication with the host ahead of our stay was really good, and when we needed a couple items during our day (a pen, some toilet paper) they were provided in a reasonable amount of time. We got lucky with a great weather night in order to view the aurora around 1 AM - the sky was unobstructed right around the cabin.

The experience, very good for 1 or 2 nights max because they don't have showers. I only texted with the owner, and they were very nice and explained everything.

I understand about the toilet being outside, but i thought they had a shower outside too. They didn't.

My sister and I drove to Alaska with our 4 children in 9 days from Vermont. We asked about coming a day earlier than anticipated and they gladly accommodated and let us all stay in one cabin as only one was open. Our husband’s flights were delayed so they let us have a late checkout so the kids could sleep in and play. The kids ran between the cabins and enjoyed playing football in the driveway. There was plenty of dishes and teas and coffees and even some snacks. The kids loved sipping on hot cocoa and apple cider. I e had plenty of water with the provided 5 gallons and they replenished everyday. The beds were so comfortable. It was perfect for our families needs! We showered in town at VIP laundry.

The outhouses were what they were. The kids loved them.

very interesting stay! fully stocked kitchen & comfy beds. cabin was warm and cozy. we enjoyed hot chocolate and coffee. dogs live in the back yard but they were very quiet.
