Beautiful walks on the beach.

Beautiful location. We holidayed in this house for well over 10 years when the kids were small. This was a special trip 10 years on.

We had to search for towels and not enough large ones for all of us. There was no heat on when we arrived even though it had been snowing.

Spacious comfortable house in beautiful location.

Perfect location with gate at end of the garden leading directly onto the beach. The beach is perfect for walking and swimming. The house is a short walk or drive to Rathmullan House Hotel where non residents can have lunch or an evening meal.

Given beautiful outdoors, a table outside or more than one chair would be nice. Friend found bed a bit hard. I used single bed much softer.

fantastic big house for family & kids right on beach .. comfy beds house nice & clean .. great big garden for kids to play safely & also beautiful beach ..

only 1 shop in the town (very expensive) .. so make sure to do your shopping before you arrive .. would of been nice if the house had provided some condiments & tea & coffee & and a little carton of milk on arrival after a long journey .

Wonderful for 3 generations of 14 people. Great location, great gardens with gates to the beach. Good bedroom and bathroom facilities. Good hot water and kitchen appliances

Rathmullan was such a lovely town and the beach was fabulous!! We had such a lovely stay.

Accessibility to the beach was fantastic!! A really lovely spot. It was a good family sized home and we had such a lovely weekend.

Location of house was everything, stepped out of back garden onto beach.

Location was excellent.

Some general maintenance required to freezer etc...minor and didn't affect our stay. Our host did call to check on us and to be fair I didn't discuss with him.

It was a very convenient location for rathmullan house

When we arrived the house was absolutely freezing. I wouldn't expect the heat to be on all the time but they could have set it to come on for a few hours before we arrived. I also thought it was very expensive, about 400 euro for one night, it is a 4 bed house but I still think that is expensive for what you get.

Location was perfect with access from the garden to the beach, lovely secure back garden for the children with toys and a swing. House was spacious and warm with everything you would need provided. The location is quiet and felt safe.

Home from home with outstanding views

The property was surprisingly spacious and the beach was at the bottom of the garden which was an added bonus. It was like a home from home - warm and welcoming and dog-friendly. Perfect location.

Really enjoyable stay with lots of things to do locally and a stunning location.

Excellent location, reasonably well appointed house, good space. The host responded to queries immediately and in person resolving any issues without a problem.

The oven needed cleaning, the freezer required de frosting and there was animal hair covering the furniture in the conservatory. The beds were not particularly comfortable. A welcome pack with some basic groceries and an instruction manual (or labelling) for the electrical devices/heating would be helpful. Information about local restaurants, and activities would be helpful.

spacious property easily found and very accessible to beach and Rathmullan- host true to word with wifi assistance and very helpful

beds are rock hard, equipment dated for example two blunt cutting knives one with a broken handle, the bathroom upstairs had a smell possible from drains the electric shower screen is covered in green mould which we had to use due the hotter weather the other one needs central heating turned on, house was reasonable today but very dusty with little cleaning products to tidy up, feels like the sea spray house in comparison to the other two holiday homes has been left behind ( perhaps this is unfair as I am only judging by the outside of the other two properties), both bins where filled so cause a bit of hassle with rubbish bins along with instructions for bins to be left out based on a 2021 calendar , wouldn’t take a lot to bring up to scratch with a bit of tlc and few new purchases and better hygiene

Overall we had a good stay, however misleading information made some aspects disappointing.

Nice spacious house. Child friendly and dog friendly. Close to a shop, cafe and a few pubs. Playground close by.

No WiFi and poor phone signal. Although the location was good, the information on booking.com was misleading and stated we had a beachfront house. We only discovered on arrival that the house we got was down the road in a development. The beach was only a 10 minute walk away but proved inaccessible with a pram which was quite disappointing.

Rathmullan lovely place to stay but misleading info on booking.com regarding the house disappointing

Booking the exact house I wanted on Booking.com was not explicit and I did not get the house in the location I wanted. Very disappointing. The house was fine and very dog friendly and our host was very good but it was not the house I thought I was booking. The house is in a small development of houses whereas I thought I was booking a house in tits own grounds with direct access to the beach. I stayed at Halloween in order to get my dog to a quiet place as he is terrified of fireworks and I did not want him to be near other houses in case he barked if fireworks went off. I have checked my confirmation email and both the photo of the house, the map and the address given did not match the house I was given. I find this to be very misleading information on the part of booking.com and it left me feeling very disappointed the whole weekend.

Very disappointing - I went home early

I did not like anything about the house

No prior communication from owner I had to ring the number for Rathmullen Holiday Homes which was out of service then find wifi reception and find the hosts number and ring him - and the house was not as advertised - it was on an estate - and not alone as shown on the website. The house because it was on an estate was very noisy

Loved Kinnegar Cottage

Fantastic Location. We brought the SUP and the kayak and was great just to walk out the back gate with them and into the water. The cottages were homely and warm. We had a party of 14 over 3 cottages and was perfect for a family reunion. Lovely walks and great pizza at rathmullan house down the road. Bert was so helpful. A fantastic time all round.
