Good location, walkable to restaurants and shops. Apt was well equipped and one of few that have an elevator for luggage. Upstairs bedrooms might not be great for young kids or older adults who might have issue with the narrow stairs.

Lots of street noise at all hours. If you’re not up by 6am, trucks and deliveries will be your wake up alarm. Because you sleep with windows slightly cracked for airflow, there’s no way to avoid this besides ear plugs. Shower could use simple shower curtain. You bathe with one hand holding shower head and the the other trying to not spray water all over bathroom while lathering up. We ended up turning off water between shampoo and body wash rinsing to not get water everywhere. With 4 people we had to wipe up the bathroom after every person. $20 would fix this and make for a pleasant shower. Host was terrible. Listing and welcome email said we could park out front of building to unload bags. When we arrived, she said that was changed and so we had to drive outside the walled city. Which we did and then dragged our bags across cobble stone streets to unit. Only later to find out unloading bags was possible right outside the building, as many others on street were doing same. She also asked us to take out trash upon leaving and strip the beds. There were no receptacles anywhere downstairs nor any other trash or trash cans in the lobby. We felt like we would be littering so did not take the trash. Very stressful coming and leaving. Finally, be aware towels and bed linens are extra charge. We paid an additional $59 euro for that. It’s listed in the listing but with one word next to linens. In the very fine print. Read carefully.

Our boat arrived in St Malo late and Arthur and Sonia very kindly called us to ask if we would like to be picked up from the harbour and dropped to the apartment. We were very grateful for the lift to the apartment with our bags and we received a walk around the apartment and the keys handed over all within 20 mins of arriving in St Malo.

Tout, l'emplacement du logement, le confort du logement

Appartement très bien placé à la porte Saint Vincent, bine pensé et bien agencé et lumineux. De nombreux restaurants et activités à proximité (rempart, plages, sortie en bateau, ...) Parking souterrain à proximité bine pratique en plein mois d'Août. Bonne surprise: Le bâtiment à un ascenseur très pratique pour les valises et pour la poussette notamment à monter au 1er étage.

La proximité et le cœur historique de Saint-Malo est un sérieux avantage en journée et le soir. La contre partie est le bruit le matin généré par les service d'entretien de la ville qui passe relativement tôt. Cela étant c'est acceptable par rapport à la position exceptionnelle de l'appartement. Dans l'appartement: - L'escalier en colimaçon n'est pas très adapter aux enfants en bas âges. - Etendage du linge un peu faible pour une famille de 4 personnes sur une semaine.
