Riverside Stay

Awesome awesome location. Denise and Richard were great hosts. Denise’s breakfast was something to look forward to every morning - it was delight to the eyes and tummy. She took great efforts to cater to all our dietary requirements with precision. Richard was a great guide to us and helped plan our days in the region. All in all it was a lovely stay for us

There was nothing to not like about

This is a beautiful property, literally a home from home. Being next to a small weir run, the sound of a soft water flow drifts you to relaxation. On a wonderful private terrace. Richard & Denise go beyond for attention to detail and a warm family welcome. Not to mention the, best breakfasts ever had from B&B, knocks spots of any hotel!!!

If we could have rated more than 10 we would have. Absolutely loved our stay, so welcoming, friendly and the property was a wow. It was more than expected. Food was incredible and our room perfect.

Denise and Richard are very welcoming and attentive hosts, the B&B is in a beautiful location, and we had a very comfortable and immaculately-presented room with a beautiful view over the river that we could enjoy from the room and sitting on the roof terrace. It was lovely to be able to open the doors and listen to the river in the morning and evenings we were there. Breakfast was beautifully made for us each morning by Denise, with carefully sourced high quality ingredients and presentation fit for a 5* restaurant. Don't expect a traditional English breakfast but do expect something beautifully cooked and absolutely delicious! The hospitality overall is very generous and well beyond what we actually had the capacity to indulge in. Denise and Richard really care about their guests and you feel like you've been welcomed into a home not just a guesthouse. It's a real treat for anyone wanting to stay in the area.

We did have to turn off the mini fridge in the room overnight as unfortunately it was loud and it disturbed our sleep, likewise the lack of full-length curtains for the windows (but we are very used to the dark). Unlike other B&Bs breakfast is a complete surprise, and while this is lovely as it feels so bespoke and made just for you (it is!), it would be helpful to know what might be coming in advance just in case there's something you've forgotten to mention you don't like.
