About this cabin rental
Modern three-bedroom cabin with great location in many ways. The cottage is located in the tiny village of Spjutvik 24 kilometers from Sortland. This is an idyllic and quiet place, yet it is relatively short distance to the small town of Sortland where you will find most of the amenities a city should have. In the summer, there is sun throughout the day until about 2300. In winter, there is little light pollution that provides good opportunities to see the northern lights if conditions are right for it. The sea is only 20 meters from the terrace and for those who wish it is fine fishing with rod. On the terrace there is also a nice hot tub available all year round. The lodge is a perfect base for activities such as whale watching on the Andenes, dog sledding in winter on the Vik, a visit to the Kvalsaukan with Saami Siida or a day trip to Lofoten if you wish. Nyksund in Øksnes, the area around Ringstad in Bø and the exterior of Andøy are also great experiences when visiting Vesterålen.
Hikers paradise! Vesterålen has 158 marked and signposted hiking trails in the mountains and fields throughout the district. The routes are easily accessible and regardless of the mountain top you have a view of beautiful mountain ranges, fjords and the sea as far as the eye can see. The difficulty ranges from easy to hard route in beautiful and varied terrain.
The cabin is a Saltdalshut with two bedrooms on the main floor and one in the loft. All bedrooms are equipped with new modern beds. Bathroom has shower and washing machine as well as toilet. In the living room and kitchen area there are full ceiling height and large window areas. This gives a wonderful airy feeling while the view becomes very clear.

We enjoyed our stay a lot.
Ole is an extraordinary, kind and supportive host. When the remote control of our Drone broke down he organised a replacement within less than one hour, i m travelling a lot - Ole clearly stands out.
The House was spotless and has everything you need and even more. Located in a quiet area with almost Zero Traffic, the view is nice and Sortland with all Type of shops is just a convinient 30 min drive close.
Note that the fireplace on the Pics is Not for use, we spent our evenings in the hot tub watching the northern Lights or the Stars - Not so bad either.
For transparency the description of the House may benefit from a remark that the oven is excluded from the rental.
Would we come back? Without any doubt yes.

Wonderfull clean house next to the Fjord in a nice and quite area. Very easy to communicate with the friendly owner. Fully equiped with the needed items.
From my understanding it's a hot tub and not a whirl pool
If rain comes down true the water pipes from the roof, the noice is also hereable inside the bedroom because the pipe holders are missing pipe insulation material.
The fireplace can't get used, but no problem, it isn't part from the house expose.

We thoroughly our 4 night stay at Ole’s property in Spjutvik. The property offers an abundance of peace & tranquility, while being within easy reach of Sortland (town). Several good walks available nearby. Highly recommended

Beautiful location in the Fjord.
Beautiful contemporary house with hight tech equipment.
Superb volumes with cathedral living room and bay windows offering an exceptional view, ideal for relaxation.
We particularly appreciated the kindness and availability of our host, Ole, who was particularly attentive to the needs of his guests.
