Dreamlike location!!!Enchanting house, very well maintained and everything as described. We spent two wonderful and relaxing weeks with our two children. With lots of snow and northern lights we really enjoyed it very much and can really recommend a holiday here.

The immaculate and ideally located cabin made for a magical vacation! Everything in the cabin was very clean and well-stocked. We appreciated use of the kitchen, the hot tub, the views, etc. Additionally, Remi went above and beyond to help us with planning, research, and a problem we had with our car while we were there. Be sure to visit the reindeer farm, use the sauna and polar plunge facility in Sortland, and check out a local salmon farm.

We loved everything about this house, it was perfect for what we wanted. It was so peaceful and the scenery was amazing and constantly changing. We even caught a glimpse of the northern lights at 2am one morning. The shops are a 20 minute drive away so make sure you have food with you if you arrive later in the day ☺️

The property is lovely and even better than the photos. Beds are comfortable and everything is a very high standard. We stayed in august and unfortunately everything we had planned was cancelled due to high wind and rain. It was good though that we were staying in such a nice house. We saw the sea eagle a few times and also went fishing from the beach when weather cleared at times.

Once again we have discovered a jewel through FeWo-direkt. Remy's house not only has a perfect location for us, but also convinced us with good facilities, cleanliness, quality and comfort. A hostel where you like to stay at home when the weather is bad. The view is phenomenal and incredibly exciting and varied. A highlight of course is the jacuzzi, which offers the same beautiful view. Remi was always available quickly and tried to respond to questions and requests. An ideal place to unwind. But also a good starting point to explore the islands of Langoya and Andoya in more detail. The Hurtigruten Museum in Stockmarknes is also easily accessible from here. A big THANK YOU to Remy and we will be back.

We spent a lovely 10 days in this secluded cabin. It has stunning views. It was a perfect location from which to explore the local area. We saw sea otters, a sea eagle and lots of jellyfish. We highly recommend the local reindeer farm. Remi was always on hand by email and was helpful and knowledgeable.

We are very happy to have booked this house this time of the year (winter wonderland). A good starting point to travel across Vesterålen (Bleik, Stokmarknes, Bø, Nyksund…). We felt at home from the very beginning (cosy, clean, well equipped). The three things we appreciated the most: This great house with its phenomenal view (Northern lights, whales, elks near the house, …). The stillness. The dog-sledding tour at Villmarkssenter with Hilde and Bjørn. Highly recommendable, anytime again. Takk skal du ha.

The house made a great base to explore and Remi kindly set up trips for us to go dog sledding and sea fishing which were both unforgettable and well worth doing. Equally we loved walking around the fjords in the clean air and coming home to log fire and an aquavit. We were also lucky enough to see the Northern lights twice in our stay, which was a once in a lifetime experience. It was wonderful to experience a new and beautiful country and I would heartily recommend this lovely cabin.

Zum 2. Mal in diesem Jahr waren wir in diesem Ferienhaus und es ist einfach schön, sowohl die Umgebung, als auch die Unterkunft selbst. Das Haus ist gemütlich, toll eingerichtet und bietet ein großartigen Ausblick. In der Umgebung gibt es einiges zu erkundigen und nachts hat man mit etwas Glück gute Nordlichtbedingungen. Wir können dieses Haus nur empfehlen, unseren 3. Aufenthalt haben wir schon gebucht.

We had a marvellous stay for 2 weeks. The photos and reviews were spot-on. It was so lovely that we were reluctant to go out, but we knew we had a lovely jacuzzi to relax in with a glass of wine after a day out. The ever changing light, the dolphins swimming past, the sea eagle, the otter, watching the sun going down behind the mountains, to name but a few. Remi and May met us in Sortland, and we followed them to the property, about 20 minutes drive. Remi was incredibly helpful, booking us trips, making sure we were ok, had everything we needed etc, but never intrusive. An amazing host, thank you Remi. Our only problem was that our stay was too short! Also, a nice shortish drive to the airport at Stokmarknes was a bonus. I'm sure we'll be back!

If you are dithering about booking DON'T, believe all the reviews that go before me, this really is a fantastic holiday home. Remi was amazing from the start, he helped me to organise flights, car hire, the correct route to use (avoiding ferries) as well as replying to all manner of random questions. In addition, Remi and May waited for us until quite late at night, to help us get our supplies before taking us to the house. We arrived in snow and the dark, so were unaware of what was in store for us across the Fjord - more on this later. The Hytte, was utterly beautiful, the photos make it look lovely, but in real life it is even better. Everything has been thought of, crocks to wear to the hot tub, games for the family to play, binoculars to watch the comings and goings across the water. It was comfortable, the kitchen had everything you needed, we largely cooked for ourselves, the beds were wonderful, the duvets were amazing, we were so toasty. The boys (17 and 13) had a bunk bed, with a double at the bottom and were very happy. There were blankets and towels, clothes, dishwasher powder, we didn't need anything. The house was so warm, everything dried quickly, with an airer and warm floors. Remi organised for us to go dog sledding - this is a must. We meet Hilda and her family and we had the most amazing time, we just could not stop smiling. They took care of us, we had coffee before and after, they had suits for the boys to wear and we got involved in harnessing the dogs and getting them ready, it really was an experience that was worth every penny. The hot tub was marvellous - really clean and wonderful to sit in in the snow, or as the sun went down. As for the scenery....that first morning we woke to the sun, blue skies and the fjord, it was truly spectacular. We didn't tire of watching the weather come in and the changing skies. Neither did the boys tire of playing in the snow, building snow men or jumping in it. It was so quiet, it really is quite remote (15-20 minutes to the town), but we felt so safe and enjoyed listening to the gentle lapping of the waves. We saw a seal and a pod of dolphins. As a family, we were able to disconnect from the world and laugh and play. The cabin has all mod cons for entertainment and there is a world to walk and hike through. If you want a break from the world, to see some outstanding scenery, Norway is for you, everyone was kind and friendly and we really want to come back. Thank you.

This Sortland cabin is a beautiful retreat for anyone interested in reconnecting with nature. It is perfectly situated on a fjord secluded from the more active area of Sortland, but it does not feel isolated. Anything you can think of is provided, which made our stay incredibly comfortable. We were extremely impressed with the property owner's care for us and our children. We were discreetly looked after in many ways, and I am so appreciative for the tremendous care. I felt like a guest in their home, which made our vacation extra special. I would never expect such treatment, but it was sure nice to have so far from home. We stayed in early spring and had a lovely time playing in the snow and watching the northern lights from the hot tub. I am sure the summer offers even more exciting activities with the beach and easy access to the water. It takes a while to get anywhere, so a car is a must. It is the perfect staging point to explore the islands or merely relax in true comfort.

My husband & I have stayed through HomeAway for many years. We have met many wonderful owners and enjoyed so many gorgeous stays. Remi and May are the Best of the best ! From day one every question we had was answered quickly and completely. Remi helped us plan our flights, car rental and sight seeing. He was always there for us, (if we needed him to translate) but Never intrusive. From the 'cabin', which is really a stunning house...We was Eagles, Whales, and the Northern Lights. Yes, THE NORTHERN LIGHTS ! If you are looking to be amazed, have an adventure or just relax with a book...This IS the cabin for you! Thank you Remi and May !!!

If, like we were, you are trying to decide whether to stay in Vesteralen or Lofoten, then ponder no more. This is a stunning place! It is set in a quiet, natural environment right on the fjord with magnificent views and big open skies. Everything is set up to enjoy the location; large windows, great decks and a perfectly placed hot tub. We never tired of the ever-changing views of the mountains, fjord and the sunsets. No matter which way we travelled from the house the scenery was spectacular. Inside the house is stylish, comfortable and equipped to a very high standard. The heating was very efficient, and we could imagine it being comfortable even in the coldest weather. And to the important question: Northern Lights in October? - most certainly! It was a fantastic display and we couldn't imagine being in a better place to view them. The owners were very welcoming, helpful and thoughtful. We highly recommend them and their magnificent house.

This really is a class act. From the moment of arrival to our departure the cabin exceeded expectations in every way. The photos are good on the site but when you get there you can't help but be struck by the staggering views. Remi was on hand whenever we needed him, he even met us beforehand and showed us exactly where to go. Highlights are: 1) The view. Never gets boring, constantly changing. The weather here is something else. One minute bright sunshine, the next hail, snow and high winds. Utterly awesome. 2) Hot tub. There is something really special about sitting outside in a 40 degree hot tub when it's below zero outside. Sitting there and watching the sun go down (cabin is west facing) was a real treat. We kept having to pinch ourselves at how lucky we were to find this place. 3) Northern Lights. We specifically wanted somewhere away from any major towns/cities because we wanted to see the Northern Lights. We saw them three times in five days. At night, when the sky is clear you can either stand out on the decking area staring at the snow covered mountains or, you can simply sit in the living room, turn off all the lights and wait for the magic to begin. We were truly lucky to see them as often as we did and it's in no small part to the location of the cabin. 4) Kitchen is exceptionally well stocked. It had literally everything you could need. All in all this is truly one of the best cabin's we've ever stayed in and we've used Homeaway a lot. Thank you Remi for a truly special Norwegian holiday. I hope we can return one day!

Staying two weeks in the Moldvik cabin (July 2014) felt like a private luxury cruise on the fjord. The sight changed almost every hour: another colour, another sky, another sea. From inside and from the terrace we observed birds (sea gulls attacking a sea eagle!), fish, small dolphins (we heard them breathe!) and giant sea otters. Once we went down to the beach and saw five small sea otters, walking on the beach. It was a pleasure to relax here, to go in the hot tub with incredible view and even to sunbathe. We didn’t realize the weather can be so good in Vesterålen. We did some fine excursions. Twice we did a day trip to the island of Andøya. The first time we did the whale safari and saw five sperm whales. In fact it were three different whales and we were really close to them. In the evening we drove back by the west side of the island with stunning sunset views. On our second visit to Andøya we did the puffin safari from the lovely coastal village of Bleik. On the small island of Bleiksøya we saw thousands of puffins (in fact there are more than 200 000 of them) and sea eagles just above our heads. We did other excursions as well, such as a small hiking tour on the beaches near Stø (part of the Queen’s route). We also hiked between Straumsjoen and Husvågen but this trail was badly marked and in a bad state. A very special and exciting moment was the successful fishing trip with the landlord (Remi). It was thrilling to realise that there is so much life underneath the surface of the Eidsfjord. We caught several coal fish (or pollock) and it was delicious to eat them with flatbrød (we got a cooking lesson from Remi). In a nutshell, it was a perfect holiday in a perfect house in a perfect landscape. It didn’t feel like a rental cabin but like being invited to a lovely home. It’s such a pleasure to cook in the fully equipped kitchen, everything at hand, and to relax on the terrace. It was so peaceful! We have never had such a great self-catering accommodation and we have stayed in many of them.

Sehr gut ausgestattetes Holzhaus um sich selbst zu versorgen. Kommunikation mit Remi einfach und schnell. Von hier aus kann man die Versteralen sehr gut erkunden. Toller Blick auf den Fjord um einfach zu entspannen, wir waren schon das 2. mal hier zu Gast, da es uns super gut gefallen hat.

Wir waren 9 Tage Anfang Juni 22 hier und haben dabei alle Jahreszeiten miterleben dürfen. Ein toller, vor allem sehr ruhiger, Ort der zum entspannen und erholen einlädt. Trotzdem ist zb Einkaufen in dem gut sortierten Supermärkten in Sortland nur 30 Minuten entfernt. Gerade wer tolle Wanderungen inmitten der Natur erleben will ist hier genau richtig.

Dear Remi, it was a great time in your beautiful house. Thank you for making it possible to share your "second home" with us. When we arrived there was not a single leaf on the trees. Wunderbares Haus in ruhiger Lage, mit tollem Blick auf den Fjord. Der Whirlpool im Freien ist einzigartig. Und die Abende am Kamin ebenfalls. Holz ist vorhanden. Die Küche sehr gut ausgestattet. Der Vermieter sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Man trifft ihn in Sortland und er fährt zu dem etwas versteckt gelegenen Haus voraus. Eigener Mietwagen ist zwingend erforderlich, da das Haus etwas abseits liegt. Ca 20 min Fahrt nach Sortland.

Sitting in the hot jacuzzi while seeing northern lights is definitely an experience that I will never forget! We spend Christmas in Remis Cottage, and is was just the most fantastic Christmas we have experienced. We had lots of snow, Northern lights, Sea eagles and mountains just outside the windows. The Cottage was equipped with all necessary conveniences including wood for the fire place and a Christmas tree. Fantastic, not to mention the 40 degree warm jacuzzi. We can only recomend Remis cottage as a great place to spend your holiday.

Wir waren vom 27.08.21 - 11.09.21 in dem wunderschönen Haus Moldvika. Dank Remi, der uns bereits im Vorfeld sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit unterstützt hat, konnten wir den Urlaub entspannt starten. Wir kamen mit der Maschine um 22.00 in Narvik Harstad an und trotz der sehr späten Ankunft hat Remi es uns ermöglicht, das Haus noch Mitten in der Nacht beziehen zu können. Es war sogar für das Frühstück am nächsten Tag eingekauft. Das ist nicht selbstverständlich und wir würdigen dies sehr. Die Lage des wunderschönen, sehr liebevoll eingerichteten und gut ausgestatteteten Hauses (Weber-Holzkohlegrill, Holzofen, Küche mit Gewürzen, Verbrauchsmittel und guten Geräten) entschädigte uns für die lange und beschwerliche Anreise. Ein Blick auf den traumhaften Fjord mit einem auf Beute wartenden Seeadler direkt vor dem Haus hat uns gleich in die richtige Urlaubsstimmung kommen lassen. Natur pur - keine Leute, nur das Rauschen der anschlagenden Wellen. So kann man sich sofort entspannen und erholen. Sehr zur Entspannung trägt auch das sagenhaft gelegene Jacuzzi bei, welches wir täglich und bei jedem Wetter wirklich genossen haben. Wir konnten einige Ausflüge auf die Lofoten unternehmen und auch die Vesteralen haben wir gründlich erkundet. Für Jemanden, der die Natur und Stille sowie Abgeschiedenheit genießt und den eine ca. 25 minütige Autofahrt zur nächsten Einkaufsmöglichkeit nicht stört, ist das Haus absolut perfekt. Wir empfehlen es Stillesuchenden, Naturliebhabern und Genießern uneingeschränkt. Wir werden sicherlich wieder kommen. Eine Anreise zu "Coronazeiten" bedarf einer besonderen Planung , wenn man ungeimpfte Kinder dabei hat. Aber Dank Remis' Unterstützung und Hilfe, war auch das kein Problem!

Wunderschönes Ferienhaus in traumhafter Lage

Ein sehr schönes Haus, liebevoll eingerichtet und klasse ausgestattet. Remi und May sind tolle Gastgeber, sehr freundlich und unkompliziert. Es gibt viele Highlights! Der Ausblick über den Fjord ist atemberaubend! Egal bei welcher Wetterlage kann man hier seinen Urlaub genießen. Die Ruhe ist phänomenal! Der Jacuzzi lädt zu jeder Tages- und Nachtzeit zum relaxen ein. Während unserem Aufenthalt konnten wir nicht nur den Seeadler und den Otter direkt von der Terrasse aus beobachten, sondern auch einen Schweinswal direkt vor uns im Fjord. Das Haus hat eine einzigartige Lage, die ihres gleichen sucht. Wir haben unsere Zeit sehr genossen, und werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen! Tusen takk!!!

Auch bei schlechtem Wetter kann man es hier gut aushalten. Der Whirlpool war schon bei unserer Ankunft beheizt und wir haben es darin genossen, auch bei Regen draußen zu sein. Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Die schöne Umgebung der Insel bietet tolle und abwechslungsreiche Wandermöglichkeiten. In Stö wird eine Whale Safari angeboten, die uns sehr gut gefallen hat.
