The good: the hostel is very sweet and homely, the place was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The owner really does go the extra mile to make you feel at home.

The bad: There is no stove or oven/ air fryer in the kitchen. I made the mistake of purchasing food before I seen the facilities. There is also only one bathroom for all of the guests to share, the only toilet is also located in that bathroom which was annoying. And for some reason they only leave one roll of toilet paper in the bathroom, it would evaporate within the first hour and then we would be stuck for 24 hours without toilet paper. There were no staff on premises to address this issue or any other queries. The owner also doesn’t respond to their messages, which made things a bit tricky at times, when guests needed help.

The hostel felt like a home and it was nice and quiet. Small dorm sizes were a plus and beds were comfy.

Location is a little far from the centre for solo travellers and neighbourhood felt a little dodgy at 10pm but might have just been unlucky the night I arrived!

The location was good, and there was a guy at the property who was really welcoming and helpful.

The rooms are quite small, and unfortunately, our room was not ready at the expected check-in time, which was a bit inconvenient. The common areas could also definitely use some improvement. The bedding could be better as well. The blankets were not quite enough for a comfortable stay. We were given a very small blanket , which wasn’t very useful. Some of the staff were very friendly and helpful, but unfortunately, not everyone was as welcoming. They do offer some complimentary snacks, which is a nice touch. The selection and quality could be improved, but I appreciate that they are provided for free. Overall, there are definitely a few areas that could be improved.
