Sabana Ubud

Loved our overall experience at Sabana. The place has a tranquil vibe. Clean, tasteful rooms, big bathroom, private balconies, direct access to the front desk on WhatsApp where they are very helpful and prompt. Feedback is taken seriously and any issue we had was attended to with sincerity and care. Manager Juli, staff Juni, Aby Febi, Nana, housekeeping boys (I forget more names) all doing great work. Great great fruit and Indonesian/Balinese food, smoothies, juices, smoothie bowls.

Cooking of western food on the menu needs to improve. Shuttle service was a great idea but wasn't available the times we needed it. So pre-book an hour or so in advance if you can.

Very nice design, clean and comfy

Everything about Sabana was great. We especially liked that it was right at the start of downtown ubud but it was off the road a little and so the sound disappeared and you felt surrounded by nature. The staff were all so sweet and attentive.

We already stayed at Sabana in 2023 and decided to make it our base again to explore Bali out of Ubud. First of all, big shoutout to the team at Sabana, they are phenomenal! :) always helpful, very friendly and great characters The hotel is always clean, has a nice pool (especially the new building at Sabana Bliss) and a great choice for breakfast 10/10, we will definitely come back and can highly recommend it :)

I loved all the staff they were so thoughtful and kind !!

The place was lovely, well looked after and the staff were extremely accomodating and friendly! The location was also perfect with short walks to a busy road with cafes, restaurants and shopping. The room was cleaned daily and water filled up again in the afternoon so that I never had to buy a bottle of water during my stay, which was very helpful. I chose to have breakfast at the place most mornings. I rarely managed to finish as the portions were very large You can choose one from several different menus containing of a juice, tea/coffee, fruit, a sweet and a savory plate. There was Western and Indonesian options however I think the menus were all quite similar in the options they offered and I would've enjoyed a little more variety. The quality of food however was excellent.

The only thing out of a all around amazing stay was the location of the bedroom which felt quite public to me. people eating in the restaurant upstairs just across from my room could make direct eye contact with me from my bed so I felt the constant need to shut the curtains.

Nice, clean quiet hotel with a relaxed vibe. Big room with a very bg bathroom. Staff were always friendly and very helpful. Room service was great. Area has all the conveniences including a supermarket and cafes.

We wish that we could give this property 11/10! This was the best hotel that we stayed out throughout our travels in Asia for many reasons. The hotel itself is beautiful designed, with elegant and stunning rooms and a very private balcony. The location was perfect for us, as it was an easy walk into the busy streets of Ubud, but the hotel itself was a quiet and peaceful oasis. The breakfasts were delicious and generous and very good value. The staff were truly exceptional and made our stay absolutely perfect. Their service was exemplary and they made us feel so well looked after. They made the stay extra special with their fantastic customer service.

Loved everything. The staff were definitely the highlight. Very friendly and helpful. Loved the convenience of the shuttle to city centre and surrounding. Breakfast was great, appreciated the flexibility and presentation. Room service and Laundry services were also prompt and good.

My son would have liked the bathroom to have a door :D

The hotel staff are very friendly and welcoming. Even though breakfast is not a buffet, we can choose from different breakfast set e.g. western such as French toast, pancakes, omelette etc and Indonesian such as fried rice or fried noodles or even porridge to choose from. Each set of breakfast comes with fruit juice, tea/ coffee, fruit platter and a dessert such as coconut crepe, banana cake or fried pisang (fried banana). Each set is more than sufficient for 1 person. If the restaurant is too crowded, it is also possible to request for breakfast to be delivered to the room to have it at the balcony. The hotel also provided us a simple breakfast box with a sandwich, bottled water, banana, orange when we had to head out before the breakfast starting time for a day tour. The hotel also provides sufficient water- glass bottled ones for drinking in the room and plastic bottles for bringing out. The hotel is slightly more than 1 hour away from the airport. There could be traffic jam during peak hours from our observation in August so there’s a need to factor more time when travelling back to the airport. The hotel provides shuttle via a car or buggy to and fro the Ubud central area which is a nice touch! You do have to inform the hotel 15 mins before the time you need the shuttle and location so that they can make the arrangement. The shuttle seem to stop only at the Main Street at the central area so there’s a need to walk out to the Main Street to board the shuttle.

Each room comes with a balcony but it can get dusty very fast since it is open so do note to wipe down the table and chairs before sitting if you are particular about cleanliness. The room is cleaned up adequately but cleanliness below the toilet seat can be improved. If you are a light sleeper staying near the restaurant located near the hotel entrance, it might be abit noisy starting from 6 plus due to the cars driving pass the entrance, staff getting ready for breakfast that starts at 7am or guests having breakfast. By 8 plus it would be quieter. Do note the traffic at the central area is really bad on Friday nights. If you don’t mind walking, it is still possible to walk from the hotel to the central area. We did not try but I guess it might take 15-20 mins. In the room that we stayed in, there is only the rain shower in the shower area, but the water pressure is quite good. The shower head is only available at the bathtub area, I’m not sure whether it is the same for all rooms.

However, extra care on details better bath towels and curtains would help

Absolutely superb! Everyone is so nice and respectful. The rooms are gorgeous, large, with plenty of natural light, the bed was comfortable. Very quiet day and night with good sound isolation from other rooms, blackout blinds. We felt safe and relaxed. The breakfast was good, prepared a la carte, not siting around all morning like in chain hotels.

The restaurant could be improved, you can consider it as a backup, there are better restaurants a short walk away towards the center.

We stayed at Sabana Bliss. The rooms were excellent and the pool area was stunning. We absolutely loved the Sabana staff. They were kind, thoughtful and extremely helpful making sure that our stay was perfect. I would high recommend this hotel. We also did the tour of the local food market and Balinese cooking class at the hotel which was brilliant.

I liked everything

Staff were super helpful. Room was spotless. Breakfast was delicious. They have a free shuttle bus/taxi in and out of Ubud - you simply send them a message on Whatsapp and they come and collect you! They arranged a driver for us for a half day tour which was great. The driver was reliable, friendly and helpful. They also have a gorgeous ginger house cat who is really well looked after.

Everything starting from the free wifi ,, free shuttle all the day from 7 am to 10 pm , the fresh good ,, all the facilities,, the cutness of the smiling staff ,, the cleanness of the room ,, the great location ..everything was perfect .

Lovely hotel, clean and comfortable. Near main area but tucked back do not noisy. Staff absolutely lovely. Ubud was our favourite when visiting Bali 🥰

Great personel, beautifull rooms & perfect location (everything was on walking distance). They also had a free shuttle service.

The room was so comfortable. It has a beautiful outlook over the pool, no mosquitoes, and a very comfortable bed. Staff were friendly and willing to meet our every need without being overbearing. I highly recommend Sabana Ubud. Also being set back off the main street, it is quiet while being in Ubud centre.

out front is a main artery to Ubud there is lots of traffic.

Very clean room. All staff were very friendly and helpful, especially reception staff. Breakfast was very good. Peaceful sitting outside room with drinks brought to us. Shuttle lifts to restaurant and nearby places.

Garden area near reception needs some maintenance as didn’t give a good impression on arrival but rooms were fine. We were disappointed the rooftop bar was closed for maintenance as we were hoping to watch the sunset.

The room was exactly like the picture and the staff went above and beyond.

Hard to find for everyone but it is tucked away from the Main Street which reduces the noise

We had 5 days in a twin room. We had a warm welcome and the staff Eka, Nana and everybody couldn’t do enough to help us and make our stay comfortable. Spotlessly clean and lovely personal touches. Shuttle in to town amazing service.

The staff member, the breakfast provided in the morning and dinner have been absolute wonderful in Sabana Ubud. Our room had a balcony and pool view. The room, the bathroom, the whole set up was what you would expect from a 4 star hotel and in excellent conditions. We stayed 2 nights at Sabana Ubud and if we would ever return back to Ubud one day we would choose the hotel again. It was absolutely amazing.
