Massive house in a beautiful location a stones throw from Dunnet Beach and close to Dunnet Head. The house is so big I kept getting lost in it. Great games room (which kept the teenagers entertained) and there's even a very helpful information room, as well as lots of garden space, a massive livingroom and a dining room. Lovely views out to Dunnet Bay, nice rural location ideally situated half way between Thurso and John O'Groats and half way between Thurso and Wick, great for exploring Caithness. The owner George is a really lovely guy, a proper Caithness farmer, very friendly and chatty and very happy to talk about the farm, Caithness life and farming life. He also thoughtfully supplied some food for breakfast, very handy when you arrive late at night and everything is closed. A wonderful place and a wonderful stay.
We loved everything. Yes it's not a freshly decorated modern house like many others, but that's missing the point. It's a quirky old Caithness farmhouse, with loads of room, everything you would ever need, and a brilliant place to stay.

Really enjoyed our stay here. The facility was fantastic and far exceeded our expectations. Each bedroom had its own ensuite, and the house was equipped with everything we could ever need. The level of detail and consideration was something we have never ever had before, so we were blown away by the kindness of the owner George.
