Melbourne Waterfront - 1 Bed 1 Bath - Entire Apartment

This place is an absolute gem! My boyfriend, son, and I had a wonderful time staying at Sunny Point! Our apartment was on the 2nd level and our bedroom over looked the water! The apartment had everything we needed for our short 3 night stay! The space was renovated and looked fairly new! One thing we loved was the water pressure in the shower! Way better than any hotel we’ve ever stayed at! The bathroom sink and mirror were the only concerns we had. The water was light coming out of the faucet and the bathroom mirror was way too high for any of us to use, we’re shorties. Haha! Hats off to owners for putting in other long door mirrors! The parking was hard at times as there were a lot of people staying when we were but it was overall fine. There is a laundry room on site for use, beach chairs, and toys. There are also kayaks and lifejackets on the property! We saw several birds and dolphins on the river during our stay. The dock was super cool and so was the make shift beach area where I drank my coffee in the mornings. Check out Cruise Cocoa nearby (Melbourne location) for the 2 hour boat tour of the river. We saw so many dolphins on our tour! Overall our experience was wonderful and we can’t wait until we can book another stay!

Beautiful spot on the river. Nice back yard with fishing dock & kayaks to use. Quiet location. Unit was very clean & comfortable. King size bed with plenty of pillows. Good water pressure, plenty of towels. Everything we could need was provided. Secure building with lock on front door & unit door. Quaint downtown area within walking distance but further enough away to remain quiet. Will definitely book here again as we frequent the area. Loved watching the wildlife on the river.

This was our second stay while visiting our daughter in college nearby. We love the view of the river, watching the sunrise and dolphins from the dock, walking to the nearby park and sitting for a while on a bench (we saw a manatee this time!) and being able to walk/run daily in the neighborhood and over the causeway. Nice place to relax when we aren't out exploring the area.

The Ballard Estate must have once been stunning, but its grounds are no longer well-tended. We most enjoyed watching dolphins from the peaceful dock. Soft bed linens were appreciated. We noticed hints of the house's original grandeur, yet our upper-floor Coquina Suite smelled strongly of urine and was stuffy. Upon arrival, instructions forbid the opening of windows, which were filthy. Floors had not been properly swept, as we discovered a hairband from a previous guest upon arrival. The shower curtain rod was installed crookedly, resulting in one end of the curtain and liner constantly drooping into water and appearing mildewy. At the bathroom sink, only one of two faucets was operational, dispensing sometimes cold, and occasionally warm water.
