About this cottage rental
Located in the village of St Breward, four traditional Cornish cottages set in five acres of land, in one of the most stunning parts of the country. Enjoy uninterrupted views of Bodmin Moor from your doorstep, amble along to the local 11th Century pub for your dinner, cycle and explore the Camel Trail, take horse rides onto the moor virtually from your own front door, and there's so much more .
Hallagenna was once a farm and was the home of Beatos, the black stallion from the Lloyds Bank adverts. Although now no longer a working farm, Hallagenna maintains its rural character. We have our own miniature pigs and chickens here and horses graze in the paddock and share their fields with wild rabbits, which can be easily spotted amongst the grass. A wealth of wildlife can be found grazing the adjacent moor, including ponies, cattle and sheep.We have our own access to Bodmin Moor here at Hallagenna Cottages so it’s ideal for dog walking,hiking,exploring or simply taking in the view .
Located on the site of the Old Barn this recently built cottage has been sympathetically designed to maintain many of the rural characteristics of old Cornish cottages with the benefits of modern design.
A single storey cottage with exposed beams, it has an open plan living area which includes washer/tumble dryer, fridge, cooker, microwave, TV with DVD/freeview. Wi-Fi access is included. A private barbecue is also provided so you can enjoy the warm Cornish sun in your own enclosed courtyard garden located at the front of the property .
This cottage offers 1 double bed and 1 captain's bed with pull out guest bed, making Barn ideal for couples, families with children or 4 adults.
Changeover day for this property is on a Saturday and minimum stay is 7 nights although we are open to enquiries.

Brilliant little find on the top of Bodmin Moor. Stunning views, super clean, gorgeous cream tea and lots of clear instructions to be able to get on with a brilliant and much needed break. Mick and Janine were always on hand and really helpful. Lovely to meet the pigs and the chickens and make the most of the moor which was new for us as we normally stay on the coast. Lovely to be away from the crowds this year. Local pub is also great and very friendly for us with our 2 slightly nervous dogs. Thanks for a lovely stay x we wouldn’t hesitate to come back x

Fantastic stay at the Old Barn. We all feel in love with the teeny weeny pigs on the farm and the friendly shetlands on the moor. Great location to base yourself and visit Northern Cornwall.

Lovely location on the edge of the moor.
Water was piping hot, beds comfy, kitchen well equipped.
If you can’t live without your ‘phone or computer then you’ll find the Broadband speed frustrating .... but that’s Cornwall, generally.
We have close ties to the area and will use Barn Cottage as a regular stop.
Hosts welcoming and attentive.

Second time to visit, couldn't think of anywhere better to stay than at hallagenna cottages, so peaceful and picturesque.
