Almond Tree Cottage

The cottage is small but perfect for myself and two teenage boys for a short trip. The location was perfect for accessing North Cornwall and Bodmin Moor. It is is in a quiet country setting that was very pretty with walks and some lovely pubs a short drive away and St Austell and Newquay not too far.

It is accessed by a long single track road that in summer months may be difficult but in spring did not present any problems even in the dark evenings. We appeared to have the place to ourselves so can’t comment if all cottages full.

Nice and clean very friendly environment atmosphere is fantastic quiet place everywhere greenery spaces excellent facilities.

Internet’s WiFi

Beautiful location surrounded by greenery, very tranquil. Beds were comfortable and cottage was cosy. Easy to work heating and very good information book explaining how everything worked, which meant we were able to have hot water despite a very early start one day.

Nothing, everything was great.

The location was great for us, as it was located in middle of several areas we wanted to visit. The cottage was cute and just enough space for a family of four. The kitchen had everything you need right to the fairy liquid and tea towels. The games room was a big bonus and although run down, the kids didn't care and had fun. Beds were comfy and cottage was clean.

Unfortunately there was no Wi-Fi, which proved difficult with a teenager and one husband that wanted to check his work emails. Also the hot water had a time limited which we didn't realized it shut off at 9pm which was tricky as often didn't get home until late evening. There was a booster switch which is listed in the guest booklet. Also the faux leather dinning chairs were peeling and was rather unappealing. Maybe wooden chairs would of been better due to the wear and tear of guests coming in and out of the cottage.
