Location was ideal

Beds were uncomfortable, floor boards were creaking, self catering facilities were inadequate. The pool that was supposed to be open everyday but it wasn’t.

Great space for a relaxing break

Great space, kitchen well equipped. Loved having recliner sofa, firestick and coffee machine. Beds comfy too. Good size soft towels. Lovely grounds and pool.

Stair carpet needs replacement. It was pretty clean but carpet edges a bit dusty and remote holder grubby. Minor issues but thought I’d mention as easy to fix.

Great property, clean, comfortable and lovely location.

Great location - in a quiet area of the estate, but just a short walk to all the amenities, should you want to use them. Also a great location for visiting local towns and beaches - lots to do in the area. The house was spacious and comfortable, with everything you could need for a home from home. I particularly loved having a balcony to sit out on, and my children loved using the bodyboard at the beach.

I loved everything about the house, grounds and location, but the additional site facilities were lacking. My teens would have used the arcade room but the money machine was broken, and staff wouldn't give change. The entertainment seemed to be geared to toddlers - having looked in a few times, we avoided it. I think the entertainment would suit families with young children - they seemed to be having fun. I was glad of having access to a laundry room, but it was very expensive to use and half the machines weren't working, which meant many trips back and forth waiting for a working machine. These were just minor issues though.

Perfect for quiet getaway

Instructions to house was perfect. Host very quick to respond to questions and fixing problems. House perfect for size of our family. Loved the balcony. Location was perfect. Quiet area but not to far from the tourist attraction for a day trip. Shop on site got all the essentials and not expensive. Loved the golf, we had such a laugh trying to play it. Fishing was brilliant kept the men busy for hours.

The coffee machine was out of order. House need a little TLC ea worn stairs carpet, some basic kitchen utentials broken or not available. House is clean but more attention to detail when cleaning like hoover under beds and sofas and in corners.

Liked the location and holiday park. Convenient location for visit to tintagel castle. I liked the fan heater in bathrooms😄.

No lock in one of the bathrooms, that was so shocking! Instead there was a hole 😨. No dishwasher No washing machine Not suitable for long stay, fortunately our stay was short. I found it difficult to find the property but was part my fault, the instructions were spot on, I should have read more carefully.

Fantastic little getaway

The property was spacious and clean with everything we could have needed including fast WiFi. The location is fabulous with lots of beautiful places to visit nearby. We also made use of the swimming pool and entertainment on site. Our children had the time of their lives. Check in was easy via a lock box and the owner sent us lots of useful information before we went.

Lovely Two Day Break

The site was well kept, beautiful gardens. Bar and Restaurant on site, pub food, but decent prices. Enjoyed two meals whilst there. Didn't have time to use the swimming pool onsite. Location ideal for visiting the coastal towns of Padstow, Port Isaac and Tintagel. Lodge was well equipped, everything catered for. Maybe a little updating is needed, but nothing major. We had a very enjoyable stay.

A top family friendly space perfect for visiting Cornwall with a host that knows the area !

Perfect location to visit Cornwall and a super cozy, comfortable stay. Jono has been the best host , with well written instructions for every aspect of our stay including suggestions towards our itinerary ! The staff at the park were also really great and super helpful and there is so much on offer inside the park a holiday could easily be done without leaving its walls !! The kids and the adults all loved it and were sad the days had to come to an end so soon !

Comfortable stay in a convenient, beautiful location.

A fantastic host and a nice property in a convenient location. 1. Property can accommodate 8 people. Good size for a holiday home. 2. good location from where one can access many of Cornwall's attractions within 30mins drive: Eden Project, Polzeath beach (30mins); Tintagel Castle (20mins), Camel trail for family cycling (10mins) 3. Excellent value for money especially for a party of 7-8 4. Lockbox near the door. instructions and a lot of local information made available by the host well in time. 5. All facilities in the holiday home are comfortable. 6. The holiday park is very pleasant as well. However we did not time to use the onsite facilities. 7. one of us accidentally scorched one of the bed linens. Host and the cleaner were kind and reasonable to charge a very minor amount to replace it.

This is only nitpicking to inform future visitors what to expect. Especially for those who are less travelled like us. 8. note for a party of 7-8, use the shower judiciously or plan some time to let the water heat again for the 5th person onwards. 9. This is only on reflection when answering the booking.com rating question - The cleaning bucket left in one of the bathrooms was a bit smelly. In hindsight, I probably should not write this here as I did not inform the host when we were there. I am sure they would have acted to resolve this.

The host was so helpful, nothing was too much trouble and any questions we had were either covered in the information we were given or answered really efficiently. We loved the pub down the road for the carvery, how hot the showers were, the little touches of the coffee machine and our hosts approachability. Very welcomed and a great weekend.

A nice break but could have been better.

Good location, good to have an electric vehicle charging point. Free wi-fi + Netflix.

Pans were burnt, trays were greasy. Sofas very uncomfortable. Beds not great. No extra bin bags etc

Served a purpose

Good location for where I needed to be for work, host was informative

Heating system was outdated and the property cold. Storage heaters that only come on at night so by the evening the rooms were like a fridge. The open plan design only adds to the heat loss. Would not recommend for a winter break. Did contemplate moving into a hotel as just wasn’t comfortable after a day at work. The room with the bath in was smelly so left the door closed and just used the shower room. Didn’t use anything on the site so cannot comment about the park

Our trip was made better by all the recommendations from Jono and that really helped.

it was well maintained and the owner had also kept aside few items for our use for outside activities such as fishing net tennis rackets etc.

There isn’t much to not like.All details of the property was conveyed to us in prior by the owner itself.

Great spacious holiday home for our family!

We really enjoyed our stay at Hengar Manor. We had fun at the lovely pool and disco on site. The house was perfect for our three little ones and lots of thought had been put into the equipment and furnishings to make the stay comfortable and easy as possible!

the pillows were hard. also even though the place was clean there were a lot of cobwebs that need getting down. also you needed a card to use the laundry but you couldn’t buy one from the reception you have to get it online. perhaps if that was in the information oh can arrange before your stay.
