About this villa rental
Villa CLEO has a private swimming pool 5 m x 10 m.
Ground floor: tiny bedroom with 2 bunk beds (children only); living room with flat-screen tv and space for an extra bed for a child; kitchen area with washing machine, full cooker and fridge; large front verandah with pool and sea views.
First floor: 1 twin and 1 double bedroom, each air-conditioned and opening onto the covered front balcony with sea views; two full bathrooms (bath, shower, wc) – one is ensuite to the double bedroom.
The villa and it's private pool is surrounded by a big garden and it is quite secluded. Free WiFi is offered.

We really liked the house and area. There were a lot of small details that could be improved, it hadn't been cleaned that thoroughly, a toilet seat was broken, the kitchen utensils were a bit random, no sharp knife for example. However the house is well designed, the pool was lovely and the view beautiful.

We booked 2 villas - Chloe and Efterpe - for our children and their families to stay in. We were pleasantly surprised with the good standard and range of equipment in both properties. We were also very impressed with George, who came out at 9pm on Saturday evening in the middle of heavy rain to deal with a problem with the electricity. It was good to find some books to read as the weather wasn't always sunny.
The location of the villas is good, but once off the main road the route is mostly rough and would benefit from being improved. That said, we had no problem driving up there, even during and after heavy rain.
One of the villas had a washing machine for which there was no manual, and some of the controls were worn so it wasn't easy to work out how it worked. There was a manual - for a different washing machine - but this was only in Greek so would not have helped. Other information about the properties, contact details etc. was provided in English and it would be good to have instructions for electrical items in English too.
These are small things that didn't stop our families having a good time staying in the villas, but they could make the experience even better.

We were two couples and a child and we had a lovely holiday at villa CLEO of the Kalamaki villas during July 2013. The villa was very well equipped and offered us all we needed for a comfortable and relaxing holiday. The private pool of the villa was ideal for just laying back and soaking in the rays, without the hustle bustle of the beach.
The spacious and the wide terraces of the ground and first floors offered a truly amazing view of the of the Messinean gulf. It is an ideal place to relax by gazing at the deep blue
and the Taygetos mountains at the far end.
Since the Kalamaki villas are practically on top of a private hill, there a refreshing cool breeze in the evening. The access road is a bit rough, but this is the case for most rural areas in Greece. The beaches were beautiful and very quiet for mid July.
You can find some very nice tavernas close by, and in the wider area as well. Overall, we had a wonderful holiday and would definitely recommend Villa CLEO.
