Clean, homely, very well equipped. Beds are super comfortable and duvets warm. We all slept so well. The shower is brilliant. The hosts are so welcoming and friendly. It is so quiet, dark skies, Mountain View.We loved the fires. The hosts are very generous in leaving some basics- dishwasher tablets, loo rolls etc.
The kitchen is a bit small

Simply the best! A welcoming fire greats you as you open the door. Most welcome. Kim and Robert go the extra mile in looking after their guests. They will accommodate your needs if at all possible.
There is plenty of fuel for the fires and if you are not confident in lighting fires, Robert will help, although there are clear instructions in the welcome book.
A lovely, lovely place to stay and I will be staying there again with friends next year. X

The cottage was self-catering, and well supplied with everything needed for cooking. It's in a beautiful, peaceful location, (surrounded by no fewer than 3 areas of natural beauty!) with many wonderful walks (we did the Malham Cove circular walk and the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail) and many highly-rated eating places not very far away. The hosts are very hospitable, welcoming, friendly, helpful and are clearly very keen to make sure their guests enjoy their time there. Our family (5 adults) really enjoyed our stay in this lovely location. The property also had enough parking space for our 2 cars.
Can't think of anything.

Absolutely beautiful home. Arrived on a very wet and windy day ( storm Amy) to be greeted by a lovely open fire burning away in the lounge and a warm log burner in the dining room. Super well equipped with everything you need. Lovely people are so very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Would highly recommend it, and we would most definitely stay again.
Maybe some softer pillows 😊

Excellent location for exploring this gorgeous area. Really cosy with the open fires, the exposed stonework and timber beams are great features.

Tricky to find. Go down track marked campsite, not the one with bins at end.

Wonderful service from Kim and her family were so lovely to meet.
The area is stunning and so peaceful and quiet it was the perfect space to kick back and relax
The farmhouse is cozy and warm and very accommodating, all we had to do was bring food and we were set.
We were able to go for a nice walk around the fields and take in some of the glorious landscapes and even got to meet some of the animals (pigs sheep and horses in the field)
We most definitely will be coming back!
Nothing it was wonderful

Lovely and spacious farm house having everything we needed for our holiday stay. So sad we only stayed two days. Hope we could visit again for longer stay next time!!

This property is a gem. Kim and Robert really know how to look after their guests. Some places we have stayed at have been quite mean with leaving extra toilet rolls, coal and wood. NOT Kim and Robert, there are plenty of toilet rolls, stacks of wood and coal. And if its cold when you arrive you can be sure there will be 2 roaring fires to greet you when you open the door.
This is our second visit and we will be certainly coming back.
The only extra thing we would have liked is a second shower. But we weren't inconvenienced at all.

We stayed for a couple of nights but would have like to stay for more - the cottage was in such a lovely quiet location, with meadows and streams around, and the calls of curlews and swallows the only noise. The hosts were really welcoming and made us feel at home.
Well equipped and also close to the nearby villages and towns for exploring the Dales

We had a great stay in this lovely, beautifully furnished farmhouse - in a very quiet spot, but still very handy for the main road and for exploring the Yorkshire Dales. The weather was terrible one day, but it didn't matter because it gave us a good excuse to spend more time enjoying the open fire in the comfortable lounge! Kim is a very welcoming and helpful host, and the house had everything we needed for our self-catering break.

The hosts went out of their way to make sure we were settled in on arrival and made sure that we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. It was a great location for exploring the Dales and was only a 20 minute drive away from Horton In Ribblesdale for our walk up and down Pen-y-ghent. Thank you for the treat of biscuits and locally made fudge too!
Nothing not to like

fires lit on arrival and well stocked kitchen
Due to lovely location a little off the beaten track it would be helpful to provide what 3 words or similar for lane end turn. However 2 out of 3 travellers found location easily.

Our host, Kim, was lovely and came down to meet us on our arrival. She had the fireplaces in the living room and dining room going to welcome us. The keys were in the house and we settled right in. Kim left us cookies, fudge and gave us a magnet when we left. We will never forget our visit.
Nothing.

Absolutely beautiful location and cottage, needed a relaxing accommodation after 3 peaks 10 hr hike. Ideal for family and friends to stay, child friendly with extras of child gate on the stairs. Thank you to Kim and family, a very lovely welcome and making the cottage homely..🥰

What did we like.....Everything!
If you want a touch of Heaven, stay at Lower Turnerford Farm.
The owners Kim and Robert have gone the extra mile to make this cottage as comfortable and as homely as possible.
We arrived on a blustery wet day and when we walked into the cottage, we were treated by not one but to blazing fires. An open fire in the living room and a log burner in the dining room, dont worry if you are not used to making a fire, Robert is more than happy to offer that service.
The beds are so comfortable, I wanted to take my bed home with me!
The place is spotlessly clean. And there is everything needed to make your stay as comfortable and as easy as possible.
And as a ps please check out the lovely wild life pictures on. The walls all photographed by Kim. What a talent.
My friends and came for a quiet retreat. And got exactly what we wanted, so much so we are coming back again in August.
Absolutely nothing!

Great location, right size for the number of people.
Rather a lot of nick-nacks decorating the house.

Kim went out of her way before and during our stay to accommodate us all and to welcome us, with both fires lit on arrival and an explanation of how things worked. The farmhouse felt really homely and comfortable, with lots of character but also up-to-date facilities. The setting was so quiet and peaceful, yet just a 5-10 minute drive away from local villages, and a stunning view of Ingleborough from the farmhouse and from the road. Lovely little church at the top of the track. We had the impression that making guests comfortable was more important than making huge profits!
Very little not to like! Perhaps a small mirror in the downstairs loo and in the twin room upstairs. Also worth knowing that there are no drawers or hanging space in the twin room due to limited space.

We had a warm and welcoming stay in this cosy but very spacious farm cottage. The owner made a point of coming to greet us and check we had everything we needed. The farmhouse is very well equipped with extremely comfy beds, and in an incredibly peaceful location, yet it is so easy to get to all the varied things to do in the area. Our family group all thoroughly enjoyed the weekend.

Great hospitality from Kim and Rob! Lovely host. Kim gave me a thorough introduction on arrival. Very lovely cottage house with fire places. Very strong WiFi.
WiFi doesn't reach certain area of first floor room but no big deal.
Hot water shower takes some time to reheat in between each use. Slightly inconvenient with just 4 adults.

1.Powerful Shower. This you don’t get usually in holiday cottages in isolated locations. But lower Turnerford has a great shower and bath.
2. Superfast WiFi
3. Great sized rooms
4. Two nice and warm fireplaces
5. Fantastic hosts. Never came across hosts who called up and made sure that we are ok while we were driving up to their property. A Very moving gesture. The hosts also made sure the cottage was warm when we arrived and welcomed us with chocolates and cookies.
6. Location of the property was fantastic. We stayed here during autumn season and it was an absolutely fantastic views we had.
Well We didn’t like to leave the property.

Hosts were always on hand to assist with our needs during the stay even sorting out a taxi back from the wedding venue. The cottage was traditional in line with the amazing Yorkshire Dale surroundings. Definitely recommend as a quiet getaway in the country.

The cottage was cosy with loads of space for us (family of four). Lots of traditional features thoughout, the beds were really comfy, the whole cottage was spotless and we had everything we needed. The hosts, Kim and Robert were so welcoming, friendly and helpful - the fires were ready to light if we needed them which was a huge help. The cottage was in a great location to explore the surrounding area.

Beautiful farmhouse and surroundings. We got lost and the hosts called us to see if we were okay, then we got really lost and they came out in their car to get us to follow them. The fires were burning ready for our arrival, lovely gifts left out for us. Totally amazing trip and would definitely recommend!

Kim was so kind and welcoming, couldn't do enough for us. The cottage is absolutely lovely, so warm and cosy with everything you could possibly want. We loved the wood fires and the beds were comfy and warm. Views were beautiful and location was fab.
It was absolutely perfect, can't think of anything to improve it. Just wish we could have stayed longer really! Perfect stay in a perfect place.
