It’s on my favorite pond, Osgood! Trails are wonderful at White Pine and from the boat launch, connecting with red dot trail, Jack Rabbit. Close to VIC for more trails. Liked the availability of canoes from boathouse. The views are sensational. Staff was extraordinary, even tracking me down in the great room after we had checked out, to bring me items that I had left behind. I really appreciate that! Also liked that there was firewood and kindling with fireplace ready to light, just like the old Great Camps did. Great guest book with maps and directions for walkways AND waterways.
We stayed at President’s for the third time. Some things were updated but the couch cushion did not fit, was uncomfortable and hanging off the frame with a sheet thrown over. That would be a nice update. It was dark in the main room and the long burgundy curtains had no tie backs. I had to temporarily tie them open with my boat ropes. Was wishing they were not there at all so we could see the view!

This secluded, wooded, quiet place is the best of the past, well-preserved. Having never been there before, once I arrived I knew I was in a magical place. Thankfully, on Tuesday it snowed all day and everything was covered in snow; walking around the property and in the adjacent state forest as the snow fell was absolutely beautiful. On Wednesday the sun was out all day and I was able to sit by the lakeshore for a few hours without needing to wear a jacket. Magic. The staff is great. The accomodations are great - and the room/cabin has its own full kitchen with a full-sized fridge, oven, and all of the tools needed to cook anything you'd like. If you're looking to be in a beautiful wilderness setting and you're not expecting the services of a high-end hotel, this place will not disappoint.
That I had to go back home.

Feels like going back in time to a simpler era. We grabbed available snowshoes and trekked into the woods after significant snowfall this year saw a perfect sunset over the lake. Magical really!
We’ve stayed here before and knew what to expect, cell service spotty but kids went to Paul Smith’s College so we knew about it. Really actually an asset if you want to “get away”

Beautiful and secluded location. Osgood pond and the Japanese tea House were very very serene and picturesque. Our unit, Kirkwood, was newly renovated and had a delightful Pine scent when we arrived.
It had recently snowed and they are poorly staffed. Thus, the paths to the Japanese tea House and other buildings on the grounds were inaccessible. My daughter and I needed to shovel them ourselves. Those facilities are advertised as being accessible to the guests. That's unacceptable. Also, the Bowling Alley looks like a decaying museum piece. The pool table and billiard balls and cue sticks were cracked and broken. It doesn't look like the building has been cleaned since President Coolidge visited in 1926. It is totally unusable. And the tea house, while very serene, has antiquated furniture.
