The location is perfect. Just 5-7 minutes walk from the center and from all the boutiques. We had the room number 1 at ground floor-> not sure if there are other units in the building. The outside parking was extremely convenient, safe, free, and 1 minute walk from the apartment. The place is practical with a decent living space at ground floor and a mezzanine for the bed. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed our stay. The bed was comfortable. There is air conditioning (not needed as we visited in January) but certainly useful for summer months. Communication with the owner was done via WhatsApp and it was fast and helpful. We appreciated the support we had to reach the property and to easily park the car. It took us 15 minutes walk to the Papal residence and we enjoy the visit of the castle for 17 Euros each including the palace, the garden and the bridge visit.
Internet speed was around 50mbps and could be better though it was sufficient for our 2 nights stay and for video watching. The mirror in the bathroom is positioned quite low (I am 1.80m) and requires some gymnastic for a good shave. The TV set is very small but we did not bother using it as I had my own Mac to watch some Avignon's videos after our long walks in the city. The place is a bit dark but comfortable.

Spacious 2 rooms well appointed kitchen, and we appreciated having a washing machine at the half way point of our visit to France. Visitors should learn to use the Bal bus service to get into town as this property is a 500-600m from the centre of town

The building is wonderful.
There was little cooking equipment in the kitchen and nothing else than salt, pepper, oil and vinegar.

Location
The property had a mouldy smell. Linen and towelling were old, thin, faded and a smell of damp material that was not dried properly

The location was perfect, easily accessible to everything and in a safe neighbourhood.
The stairs are very steep for those with mobility issues.

This apartment is absolutely beautiful. Everything is included for a great stay. Lots of room and a great kitchen that had everything we needed. That host was very responsive to any questions we had.

Beautifully restored and spacious. A big bonus to have reserved and free parking on the premises.
The water pressure in the shower was the only disappointment. We are not certain if the problem was
a defective shower head or something related to the pipes of a very historic structure.

The host was very nice and helpful and lives on the first floor (we had flat one on the ground floor). The car park belonging to the chapel was directly next to the accommodation , and the accommodation is only a short walk from the Centre of Avignon. The flat was well-equipped.
We found the accommodation honestly a bit on the dangerous side for us. The gallery (where the bed was) did not have enough head room to the ceiling and was also quite narrow; the toilet ceiling was the underside of the stairs up to the first floor, again low, and the stairs up to the gallery were steep with the top step being difficult to see. There was also one large screw on these stairs which jutted out dangerously, so we moved the table and chairs around to ensure we didn’t hit our heads on this. The smell of stone was a bit overpowering. Not suitable accommodation for anyone with mobility issues or visual impairment.

It has very cool character and everything we needed
Nothing, it was lovely! There was a spiral staircase in our apartment to get to the bedroom so for those who have limited mobility it may be difficult but for us it was no problem at all

Unique property. Very close to station but in a very quiet area inside the city walls. Comfortable and had great sleeps. Very nice and adequate lighting. Plenty sockets and usb ports including usb c. Note proceeds go to upkeep of the chapel used for community events. We had a tour of the historic place by very helpful hosts.

The host was very friendly and helpful via the chat and made sure we had all the required information in advance to have a comfortable arrival and stay. We had a free parking next to the house and early check-in. We chose this place because of the history, look and central location. We were prepared it wouldn't be a traditional room and therefore enjoyed it very much. We were pleasantly suprised with the intimate setting and layout. The stairs to the bed/bath room could be considered a bit narrow and steap but for us no problem. There was no elevator so we had to carry our heavy luggage upstairs to the first floor, which was also fine!
We had one day with heavy rain and decided to stay inside. It would have been nice to have a bigger television with English channels and/or the option to stream own content. A shower curtain for the bath would be useful to avoid water spillage when showering.

Our host was very welcoming and helpful with information about Avignon. This was a special stay in this beautifully decorated building. The apartment was very clean and comfortable with all the equipment required for self catering. It was an easy walk to main attraction.

Quiet, clean, location, interior design. Antoine made extraordinary effort to make us comfortable.
For elderly persons the spiral stair is challenging and dangerous.

Antoine and Alexane, made us welcome and were accommodating before we even turned up. The accommodation was beautifully designed and spacious with separate toilet and two bedrooms as well as a kitchen. A perfect location for Avignon and exploring Provence. We hired a car and had an off street carpark. We highly recommend this as a great place to stay.

A rare opportunity to stay in a 14th century chapel, possibly unique and certainly very pleasant. We met Atoinne, a very welcoming host. Walking distance to the city centre, full of restaurants, shops and historical sites. Free parking next to accommodation a real bonus
Very narrow spiral staircase. Maybe difficult for some to get to the bedroom

We stayed at La Chapelle Du Avignon for 5 nights in a Studio Apartment and it was an excellent place to stay in Avignon and as a base to explore other areas, Arles and Nimes are close by train. We walked to all of the sights in the town and it was close to the train station for daytrips to other areas and the bus to Villenueve, which is across the river and worth a visit. The host Antoine responded to all enquiries promptly before our visit and was there to meet us on our arrival. Contact during our stay was easy and prompt also. The apartment had everything you need including a washing machine which was great. The bedroom is up a staircase as depicted in the photos, we didn't find it a problem. I would highly recommend this apartment.
Nothing, we liked everything

There is so much to like. The quality of the renovation, the fittings and furnishings. The air conditioning that was needed in heatwave conditions. Everything you need in the kitchen for self catering. Super size bedroom. On site parking. Quick response to questions via What’s App. Suggestions for where to go and what to do.
All good. No complaints.

Overall excellent apartment. Very good location with a private parking.
The bathroom needs a little attention. Broken basin tap and shower fitting.

This is one of the most exceptional places I ever stayed in. You are sleeping in a former church from the 14th century. Even Richelieu once lectured here. Just the idea that you are staring a walls dating back that long is amazing. Besides this the apartment offers good sleeping comfort and the host provided even coffee and water to me. Hosts were also very responsive! 100% satisfied!
Only for guests with a physical condition you might not want to stay due to the narrow stairs to the bed. But this kind of stairs you find in many places.

Antoine was an excellent host. He responded immediately any time we reached out.
The location provided easy access to Old Town. Parking was free, so we walked everywhere. Spacious one bedroom
The narrowness of the toilet

Loved this historic building, located a shortish walk from the central station and city area and only a 15 minute walk to the Pont d'Avignon. Had very clear communication from the friendly host, with lots of helpful information. The ground floor apartment was very spacious and well-appointed, really enjoyed staying here..
Nothing to dislike.

There was a shuttle stop(free) just around the corner that made exploring Avignon easy. Located on a quiet street near the wall of the city, it was private and perfect for resting after a full day of sightseeing.

Beautiful apartment fabulous host, great location. Washing machine and dishwasher.
Request for more coffee pods for duration of our 4 night stay was accommodated. Antoine even came to explain washing machine as no instructions
Would be good to have laminated instructions for both appliances. But really nothing not to like. Possibly 4 towels not 2 but there is a washing machine.

I think this was one of the most charming places I have ever stayed in my life. The chapel and its renovation is beautiful and I felt right at home. Antoine the host was super helpful and friendly and helped me with everything I needed. I highly recommend this place.
The only thing I didn’t like was that I couldn’t stay longer. Till next time!

Authentic but modern renovation of this ancient chapel. Being within the old walled city made for an easy walk to everything we wanted to see. The parking at the door is a huge plus. Antoine was extremely responsive when we had an enquiry , and also offered some great suggestions of local restaurants as well as local sights outside the city.
It would have been nice to have English language channels like Netflix available (as we don’t speak French so couldn’t enjoy the TV.) But this is not offered as a criticism merely a suggestion

Beautiful converted church, very spacious. Good location near to train station and sights. Great air-conditioning.
The furniture is quite old and tatty, the photos on the advert make the apartment look quite luxurious when it actually isn't. Shower is a hand held one.

Ants in the building

Clean, centrally located and it was formerly a church. Interesting architecture. Kitchen let us have a quiet breakfast each day.
Sleeping area was a loft with the bathroom on the lower floor.
7.0 / 10.0
We really liked the location (a few minutes walk from the main sights in Avignon) and the fact that we could park our car just outside the apartment. Also, the host was reactive to our whatsapp messages. The apartment had all the facilities we needed (microwave, fridge and freezer, showerbath,...).
The smell in the apartment was not nice (maybe also due to the fact that it is an old building) and the apartment seemed dirty (sticky floor, mouldy walls, smelly bed linen and towels). Also, the airco was not able to get the temperature down upstairs (the peak temperature outside was 33 degrees), which forced us to throw our matress downstairs in order to be able to sleep.
8.0 / 10.0
We enjoyed the stay, we didn't meet the host and I think that would of been helpful than just a code at the door.
The apartment was very dark and the loft is not suitable for older people.
