Absolutely perfect

Perfect place to stay for exploring the Cotswolds.

The location is perfect for exploring the beautiful villages. Everything is close by. Tony prepares an excellent breakfast in the morning to fuel you for your sightseeing. Jules is the perfect hostess. She is most helpful in recommending restaurants and will even make reservations for you. I would definitely stay here again.

Tony & Jules were perfect hosts. Tea & Cake as soon as we arrived, and we relaxed in the garden. They made us feel so welcome. Our room was spotless. The breakfast was great and kept us going until dinner. We will definitely go back.

Lovely stay, with a warm and personal touch

After parking the car, we were met by Jules and a cup of tea with cake. Lovely to arrive like this! We arrived somewhat earlier (that was no problem) and so had the luck to have some time for a nice talk with Jules. We really could feel the warmth, effort and kindness Jules (and of course Tony) put in taking care for theirs guests. Lovely breakfast (!!), nice and comfortable room and bed, lovely village, beautiful walks . . . . what more do you want. And the little details such as putting the white wine cold . . . ;-). Thnx Jules and Tony!

Lovely stay in great location

Fantastic food, lovely room and friendly hosts who went over and above. Jules passed on recommendations of places to visit and things to do. The location was a great base to head out all round the area. Would recommend staying here.

Would recommend this B&B to anyone wanting to visit the Cotswolds.

We enjoyed our three days in Bourton on the Water all the more because Jules and Tony made us feel at home at Southlands. It was very handy to the town and we were able to walk their for meals and looking around the village. It was also handy for visiting other beautiful towns in the Cotswolds.

Best accommodation during three weeks round travel

On a scale from 1 to 10, Jules and Tony deserve a 12. After a warm welcome with refreshing drink and homemade cake, Jules showed us to our cosy room. Tony made the best English breakfast during our three weeks holiday in England. The house is decorated very lovely and Jules makes you feel more like family than just a guest. Great location and everything in Bourton on the Water is within walking distance of the B&B. If we will travel to the Cotswolds again, we will definitely stay here again.

It’s a stunning property with a beautiful garden and ample parking. The location is perfect. Inside is just immaculate, clean and very impressive.

A beautiful haven from the hustle of town life.

Excellent hosts, welcoming and friendly. Lovely location in quiet area of village with a relaxing garden to sit in and enjoy. Room nicely laid out with comfortable beds and good storage space. Facilities clean and tea/coffee and water provided.

10-15 minutes walk to village depending on how fast you walk but as we’d stayed before we paced ourselves. First time visitors will adjust once you’ve walked in once or twice.

We liked everything. The hosts were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The house was gorgeous, and our room was well-presented and equipped. The breakfasts are exceptional. It is only a short walk into the centre of Bourton-on-the-Water.

A luxurious place to stay in beautiful Bourton on the Water.

Jules greeted us with a drink on arrival to this beautiful B&B. Every detail was well considered and the breakfast was delicious. Our room was spacious and tastefully decorated. It was a short walk from the really busy tourist centre and a great place to stay and see some of the best villages of the Cotswolds.

Great place for a short stay.

Jules made us very welcome and gave great advice on good places to eat out, walks around the village and places to visit. It was a lovely house, newly refurbished and the room was clean and comfortable for our our 3 night stay. Breakfast was everything we needed - cereals, fruit juice, tea/coffee, egg on toast although we could easily have chosen full English.

Bourton on the Water can be exceptionally busy at the weekends with day-trippers so make the most of early morning walks and evening strolls.

Wonderful

We could not have been happier with the stay. We only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. Be sure to get breakfast before 8:30. It will carry you until dinner.

Outstanding hosts Jules and Tony. Beautifully clean and comfortable generously rooms and en-suite facilities . Nothing was a problem for hosts to assist or advise. Easy 5 minute flat walk to Restaurants, pubs and canals either along the road path or country paths between active farming fields. Plenty of parking Very good breakfast options ( large English breakfast or smaller yogurt fruit options with cereals and juices

Jules and Tony are excellent hostesses. It’s like being at home far from home. From the warm welcome with a homemade slice of cake and a cup of tea serve by Jules to our goodbye follow by a warm hug from the two of them, everything was just great! Thanks for a wonderful stay. This property will be the first place I stay when I return.

This property is ideally placed for a short walk into town and all aspects of enjoying the sights. On a main road but so quiet it was a pleasure and made sleeping very comfortable. Breakfast was a highlight and the dining room was immaculate.

The breakfasts were excellent with plenty to eat, and very good alternative choices. The location could hardly be better, with a short walk to town, but far enough to be in a quiet area. The accommodation was well maintained and clean.

We did think the beds were a little firm, but good for my back. Nothing at all other than that.

Overall good apart from as mentioned

Very friendly landlady and accommodated us arriving early and allowed us parking before and after our booked times. Very good location.

The bedroom was small and quite difficult to navigate with only one chair. I was told that all their rooms were the same price and we could have a bigger one next time! but accessing one side of the bed was difficult. The breakfast choice was very limited especially for a vegetarian. I thought it quite pricey for what was offered.
