Le Clos des Rives

Hôtesse formidable, d'une gentillesse extraordinaire !!! Le gîte était très propre, avec des prestations haut de gamme, très proche d'un loueur de canoé et de restaurant. A un peu plus de 14 Kms de Sarlat, offre la possibilité de découverte de sites magnifiques : Beynac, Castelnaud- la- Chapelle, Les MiIlandes ....

Malheureusement, le site n'offre pas de gîte avec un grand espace séjour (ce que je recherchais pour une réunion de famille de 20 personnes), pas de possibilité non plus de venir avec un chien de plus de 30 kgs (pourtant très sage et calme). Et les occupants ont ressenti une humidité importante (vieilles pierres du gîte, proximité de la rivière, beaucoup de pluie la période précédent notre week-end ??)

l'emplacement est superbe, vie locale - feu de st jean du village, proximite de la Dordogne pour baignade et se laisser flotter, visites des villages remarquables d'alentour, supermarche pas trop loin

Le Climatiseur est non fonctionnel a notre arrivee (samedi) jusqu'au depart (5 jours de grosse chaleur): il a marche un seul apres-midi apres l'intervention du technicien le lundi. Nous avons obtenu des ventilateurs en echange, mais plutot bruyant, et une derniere nuit pour 2 personnes dans un autres appartement pour s'excuser!!! La chambre avec le vasista ne permet de faire circuler l'air. De plus, la pluie fait du bruit sur le carreau du vasista qui doit etre absolument ferme! Ce serait bien aussi de preciser que l'acces se fait par l'escalier uniquement (Personnes agees). A preciser dans l'equipement, l'absence de serviette pour sortie de bain. La bouilloire a fait sauter le fusible et a ete remplacee pour le lendemain.

The apartment we stayed in was extremely spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The property and its grounds and gardens are stunning and has a private pool that overlooks the Dordogne River. It's got a canoe centre next door, which makes it easy to explore the area. La Roque Gageac and Beynac Et Cazenac , and alot of other beautiful places along the Dordogne are only a short drive away. The manager Gaelle was brilliant, very helpful and informative. I would definitely recommend this place and hope to stay there again.

The location and the manager of the property (Gaelle) were excellent. A great welcome and support throughout.

The owner of Le Clos was unhelpful and inflexible when the air conditioning failed a few days before we were due to arrive. We were offered a smaller apartment (from three down to one bedroom) but no refund. When we asked we are offered a small reimbursement of 140 euros. Not acceptable when we had paid over 3400 euros for an air conditioned three bedroom apartment. Gaelle the manager was amazing and tried to do everything she could to make up for it. Luckily the weather wasn't too hot and we were able to get by with fans, but shouldn't have had to for the price paid.
