This character property on 9 acres of meadows, forests and woods hiking is exceptionally located 10 km south of Sarlat-la-Caneda in the golden triangle of the 'black' Périgord.

A hillside with stunning views over the Dordogne valley and the village of Saint-Cyprien illuminated at night, the property is located at Castelnaud la Chapelle, one of the most beautiful villages of France, with its castle, historic village and close to the Dordogne river, castles of Milandes and Beynac or the hanging gardens of Marqueyssac.

This typical Perigord house was restored in 2012 in a genuine spirit and can accommodate 8 people. Very comfortable and practical, it suits for family holidays or stay with friends. The secured swimming pool offers you a stunning view of the surrounding valley. The layout of the house allows for independence between two families of four people. Of course you can enjoy a private area for your vehicle and a garage.

An ideal location for exploring the Perigord combined with a heavenly and absolute tranquility, not overlooked and no noise, and quality services (laundry fully furnished) for an unforgettable stay.Very peaceful

A marvelous house full of character in a stunning setting. Extremely peaceful despite being not far from all the activities of the Dordogne River and Towns. Would recommend for those wishing to enjoy nature and peace and wish to explore the dramatic river towns of the area. Good swimming Pool.

We had the most wonderfully relaxing time staying here. Beautiful house, grounds and views! We were a family ranging in ages from 11 to 70 and 2 dogs who loved the space! The house is at the end of a lane so it was very private. Olivier was very easily reachable by text/phone if we needed him. The house is well set up to accommodate 2 different families in either end of the house for sleeping. Castlenaud village is a short drive where they have a lovely bakery and a couple of restaurants. Perfect stay, just what we needed!

Voor het tweede jaar waren we te gast in dit mooie huis met zwembad op een groot, eigen landgoed. Olivier heeft in het afgelopen jaar wat verbeteringen aangebracht, zoals de wifi die nu perfect werkt. De rust deed ons goed. Komende uit een drukke stad viel hier de stilte op, 's nachts alleen 'verstoord' door de herten in de bossen. Normaal gesproken vinden we het na een dag of 10 wel genoeg en verlangen we weer naar huis. Een verblijf in Castelnaud roept echter altijd de wens op om langer te blijven. Het dorpje zelf is klein maar heeft de beste banketbakker van de Dordogne en een paar goede restaurantjes. En de Perigord Noir is natuurlijk zo bijzonder dat je er ook in 2 jaar nog lang niet alles hebt gezien. Het was een aparte ervaring om dit jaar overal mondkapjes te moeten dragen, maar daar wen je snel aan. Het was warm tijdens ons verblijf, maar het huis blijft koel door de dikke muren. De bedden zijn prima en de keukenuitrusting is meer dan volledig. We hopen volgend jaar weer terug te komen.
