We have had a lovely break at Double-Gates BB, very enjoyable and we will go back there again.

Excellent breakfast, good local produce and very well cooked.Also a good selection of fruits, yoghurt, and cereals.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. The accommodation was exceptionally clean, the food was good and plenty of it, and Debbie and Steve were very good hosts.

Lovely quiet location. Our host was very helpful and kind. Absolutely fantastic pub next door with amazing food and fantastic local cider. Our host made us a take away breakfast as we were up and out too early for breakfast on the first morning. She was very generous. The breakfast the following morning was fantastic. We were full most of the day . The shower in our room was lovely and powerful.

The rooms were well supplied with what we needed, however they were a little dated.

Great lil find

Beautiful place, quite remote but perfect. So peaceful. Everything was catered for, great selection for breakfast. Friendly host, accomodation clean and tidy. Added bonus, a pub next door for an evening meal

Enjoyed the stay - shame about the breakfast slow service

On site parking. Comfortable lounge. Plenty of hot water and big fluffy towels. Cooked breakfast was delicious.

A lot of noise came from guests in the rooms above. No sound proofing in the ceiling or floor. Breakfast service was random. After 25 minutes wait for toast we left.

Perfect choice of B&B if you’re visiting this beautiful area

It’s in such a tranquil pretty setting. Beautiful view over the river and fields. Very Comfortable, spacious room and accessible bathroom, with everything you’d need if you were traveling light. Excellent breakfast. Hosts Debbie and Dave are lovely people - extremely helpful and accommodating - nothing was too much trouble!

Wonderful place with comfortable accommodations and a beautiful view of the nature. Debbie is a lovely and welcoming owner.

Breakfast could be served more quickly. We were a big group and it take more time than we thought to have the food served to all of us.

Exceptional

Staff were really friendly, the rooms were exceptionally clean, bedding was comfortable. Breakfast was really enjoyable, and nothing was too much trouble they always asked if we wanted anything else. We would definitely stay there again, much better than being in a b&b or hotel in the town. Could not fault it. Well done to Deb and the team.

Location was good.

Breakfast was good. A lot to pick from on the menu. Maybe one change would be to have section for fruit juice, yogurts and cereal. Then the waiters and waitresses have t got to deal with this.

For me one was thing. The wet room. But this could be because we were in a family of 3 and this was a big room.

Quiet with Space

Very nice living room with comfortable sofas - enough room for the whole family to be comfortable. A decent size dining room. Good bedrooms and showers. Good quality cotton bedsheets. The location was quiet. Although remote there is a nice (slightly pricy) restaurant next door, although you should book in advance as they are popular.

Windows had very thin curtains - extremely bright in the morning. Luckily we brought along a couple of blackout curtains and hung up the bed covers on the other windows - otherwise we would have been woken up at 5am each morning.

A true rural idyll

Very special place. Comfortable room, very clean and well equipped with quality items. Loved the balcony right on the water's edge. Hosts are a lovely family who do everything with generosity, warmth and care. Very tasty, hearty breakfasts with top quality produce. Wish we could have stayed longer. Really can't recommend this gem of a place highly enough.
