RoomWest Amsterdam

Big room in the center, but still in a very quiet neighbourhood. The huge windows were opening to a quiet inner courtyard. The windows were sound proof, and the walls thick enough, so you didn´t hear any noise of the neighbours. in the other rooms. Nice working curtains too, so it was possible to darken the room, if you wanted to sleep longer. There were two types of showers, including one really nice rain shower, that was showing the temperature of the water and the length of the shower time. The internet was working perfectly. The checking was easy to do, all happening online, the host was very helpful and responsive for every question that I had, including bike rental.

The window is huge, taking all one side of the room , and facing East so the sun was hitting the room from the early morning, making the temperature rise very quick 5 to 10° above the outside temperature. There was a fan, fortunately, but it was hot. If you enjoy to sleep late with a closed window, to have absolutely no noises from the neighbours, it could eventually be a problem in summer. I guess that it is not a problem at all the rest of the year. The room is on the third floor with Dutch steep stairs. It is good for your health to climb it, but be aware of it, if you have difficulties to climb.

Lovely apartment and very clean

Comfy bed. Staff was good online, I never met anyone.

Very dusty underneath the bed as well as the fan. Location is okay, far from the main area but with lots of local restaurants close by.
