We had a really pleasant stay and would definitely choose this hotel again on our next visit to Amsterdam. The location is one of its biggest advantages. It’s not right in the middle of the busy city center, but just on the edge of it, which was perfect for us. It meant we could avoid the crowded tourist streets while still reaching all the main attractions within minutes. The tram stops right in front of the hotel, and there are also plenty of lovely cafés within walking distance. We stayed in the Small Room, and it was indeed very small, just as described. However, it was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. We even had a small balcony, which was a nice bonus. Although there wasn’t any air conditioning, the hotel provided a very good fan, and it kept the room comfortable. The towels and bed linens were fresh and spotless, and the room included thoughtful amenities such as shampoo and toothbrushes. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. If it’s your first time in Amsterdam, they’re happy to recommend great places to visit and offer useful local tips. Another nice touch was the complimentary hot drinks. Cold drinks were available for purchase and were reasonably priced. If you’re the type of traveler who plans to spend most of the day exploring the city, prefers a quieter neighborhood over the busiest tourist areas, but still wants easy access to the city center, I highly recommend this hotel.
