Amazing house! Peaceful location, with stunning views!

Traditional local house, with all you could need . Very cosy and spacious, homely, spotlessly clean. Balcony views were amazing , and the icing on the cake was the hot tub! Hosts provided all we needed re toiletries/ cleaning, and lovely treats to eat! Very helpful and kind hosts!

Nothing! Must note it is high up the mountain side , but there is a bus stop just outside. ( service stops at 6pm). The very kind owners dropped us off and picked us up from town with our luggage . This was a massive help and extremely kind.

This place is a dream and the hosts are incredibly nice!

We stayed in the penthouse apartment -- there were 5 of us -- it was so gorgeous! The view was spectacular. The hosts, Simon and Marion were so sweet and knowledgeable. We loved Simon's recommendations. It was easy to get to the gondolas and mountain train. Simon also provided a recommendation for a nearby lake for swimming which was so great. We abolutely loved it and can't wait to stay here again.

We loved everything, but just something to note, it would be a fair bit of an uphill walk to get to the apartment. We had a car so it wasn't a problem for us. There was a bus stop right near the place, but we never saw a bus go by. One other small thing -- the hot tub is very relaxing and nice, but it's not kept as hot as we are used to in the U.S.

Our stay at Chalet Bernardi in Ortisei, Val Gardena, was nothing short of exceptional. From the start, the communication with the property owners was efficient and seamless. Simon and Marion, our hosts, went above and beyond with their attentive hospitality, checking in daily to ensure we were comfortable and enjoying our time. The chalet itself was fantastic. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, providing restful nights after days of exploring. The spacious bathroom featured a high-pressure, warm shower—perfect for unwinding. The well-equipped kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals, adding a wonderful touch of convenience. The views of the Dolomites were breathtaking, and having a bus stop right on-site made getting around incredibly easy. Whether you’re looking to hike, ski, or simply soak in the beauty of the region, this location is ideal. I wholeheartedly recommend Chalet Bernardi to friends, family, and anyone looking for a memorable stay in Val Gardena. We left feeling truly cared for and can't wait to return!

Place was perfect!!! Hosts were beautiful people. The place was so comfortable and clean with stunning views of the mountains. The hosts took time out to meet us and help with our bags, and then spent time to give us some guidance on the area. Highly recommend this stay. You will not regret it.

Great lodging with easy access to multiple gondolas, a funicular, and miles of hiking trails!

The 3 bedroom apartment was perfect for a family of 8, including 3 teenagers and a 4yr old. Large dining area, large bedrooms, and a great sun room with perfect view. And a great hot tub for the end of the day!

A gem in Ortisei

Simon and Marion’s home is so very special. The space was beautiful, including Simon’s own artistry throughout the space. The furniture was all handmade by Simon. The setting was even more spectacular than the pictures. Their hospitality was exceptional. You can see and feel that these apartments were built with so much love. They had everything we needed and more. We easily walked to town for dinner and to catch the lifts from the apartment. We also enjoyed using the beautiful grill Simon built outside of the apartment, with the most stunning views of Val Gardena as a backdrop.

Exceptional!

Our main reason for visiting Ortisei was to go hiking, but we found so much more. The owner of Chalet Bernardi, Simon, did an outstanding job of communicating prior to our arrival and assuring our requests were met. Simon greeted us in the parking area and from the beginning made us feel very welcome. The Chalet Bernardi Apartments absolutely blew us away; it is gorgeous! It is hands down the cleanest property, inside and out, that I have ever had the pleasure of staying. The purpose of our staying here was just a place to sleep but it turned out to be so much more. It was serene to wake to one of the most beautiful views in the world and sip espresso out on the balcony. The beds were extremely comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed and the washing machine was such a bonus. We took advantage of the spa after hiking and it was absolutely magical. We are a skiing family and without a doubt will be returning to Chalet Bernardi. Thank you Simon for making our stay so special, you have created a gorgeous property and obviously have a lot of pride in it.

It's NOT a negative but wanted to share about the location. It's a 10 minute walk/people mover ride to town, we thought it was easy and very convenient. Attached are pictures of the stairs that lead down to the people mover. I loved not having to drive and being able to stay in the more residential part of town as it was peaceful and the views were spectacular. If you don't want to walk there is a bus stop that is directly in front of the house. Great location!!!

World class views and hospitality, I will be back!

The hospitality of the owners was unbelievable and really made our stay a special one. I speak as the owner of a travel business as well as a vacation rental business and I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for exceptional views of the Dolomites and a warm welcome from Simon and his family. I would recommend having a car when staying here since the town of Ortisei is on the side of a hill and bus service is not consistent enough.

Great compact apartment

Newly refurbished to a high standard. Very well equipped and a lovely hot shower! Hosts Simon and Marion were very welcoming and we were able to park our car in their garage. A bottle of fizz was there to welcome us on arrival!
