Crudo Home

The location was perfect with easy access to the ruins.

1 of the rooms was much smaller than the others and probably not fit for purpose. It wasn't a problem as we were moved in to a bigger room which was perfect.

I loved the room. It wws beautiful, comfortable and clean. I loved that it is just in front of the train station but also close to Pompeii. The restaurant downstairs, Guilia's- excellent. The host was very kind and helpful. I liked it so much I made it a point to stop there for an extra night instead of heading to my next destination directly. I will look ro stay there next time I visit. He should be charging double what he asks for a room that nice! I would happily have paid it.

The street it is on is very busy / noisy- which is to be expected given the location. Nothing one extra drink downstairs can't fix

Very big room

The location was excellent for local eateries and the archaeological park. Our host was friendly and responsive, the room was big and airy, and I enjoyed having the balcony.

The mattress could do with an update, but more so the pillows. The rain hood in the shower did not work properly as tended to shoot water across the ceiling, had to use the hand held showerhead instead to get washed which was a shame. There is a lot of calc/limescale build up which I assumed may be part of the problem as this was also detrimental to the sink tap aerator too. A simple descale every other month would help fix the problem, although I do understand the reason as too why there would be such hard water so close to a volcano. This all said it was still a pleasant stay, but a few simple changes could have elevated it so say this constructively.
