Crudo Home

The rooms were very clean and huge. The location is incredible- very close to the pompei site and lots of great restaurants in the street nearby.

The noise is crazy from the restaurant below and passing street traffic. Plus wifi is non e existent.

Crudo Home was located in a central location to the Pompeii ruins and town. Everything was within walking distance. Easy access to bars, restaurants, shopping and the ruins. The owner was in contact with us throughout the arrival process. The room was large, clean and nicely decorated.

The main issue we had was that we stayed over the weekend and the rooms are located over a restaurant which proved to be quite noisy on Saturday night.

A very nice, spacious room in an ideal location in Pompeii. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the Pompeii ruins and a 5-minute walk to the train station for Herculaneum. There are plenty of restaurants and bars practically right outside the door. Gianfranco, the host, was very friendly and even told me about a super affordable parking spot (though it’s probably always full during the high season).

The location: Right in the heart of the city, with a streetlight right outside the window and a lot of traffic. But since it’s pretty rare to find a place in the city center with a garden and a quiet atmosphere, that was totally fine with me.

The location was excellent for local eateries and the archaeological park. Our host was friendly and responsive, the room was big and airy, and I enjoyed having the balcony.

The mattress could do with an update, but more so the pillows. The rain hood in the shower did not work properly as tended to shoot water across the ceiling, had to use the hand held showerhead instead to get washed which was a shame. There is a lot of calc/limescale build up which I assumed may be part of the problem as this was also detrimental to the sink tap aerator too. A simple descale every other month would help fix the problem, although I do understand the reason as too why there would be such hard water so close to a volcano. This all said it was still a pleasant stay, but a few simple changes could have elevated it so say this constructively.
