HABITA79, Pompeii, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Location and friendly atmosphere. rooftop was a major plus. Room spacious and very quiet.

Spa was closed during our stay

The location (near enough for walking to the ferry but hidden from everything else once you’ve arrived), air-conditioned lobby and rooms (which were a needed delight to walk into), swim/lounge area and staff were all excellent - no notes! The room was very clean as were all the facilities, and the lobby area is gorgeously appointed. They also have a few books to borrow (in various languages) in case you’ve forgotten your beach read. And they have floats to borrow. There’s also a spa with lots of options, but I felt too hot to take advantage of them so can’t fully describe.

As with all my summer stays in Italy, the cost to quality ratio is extreme - the hotel had many lovely and thoughtful touches but wasn’t luxurious in all aspects (in terms of room finishes, towels, service, etc). But the location and swimming deck/floats were worth it to me - I’ve never had such a lovely time as floating and relaxing in that hidden cove.

Uncomfortable seats in all communal spaces. Bar staff inattentive and too busy chatting and on their phones instead of providing service.
