Fantastic apartment, great location, great host; Fasnacht was amazing!!

Great central location; the neighborhood seemed quiet, is mostly residential and businesses, and only a 5-min bus ride or 10-15 min walk from the train station; A quick one block walk got us to the grocery store and there are several restaurants within a few minutes walk; The apartment is fantastic - very good communication with the host, spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, super quiet, and we were grateful we could use the upstairs laundry area! We used the kitchen which provided everything we needed to prepare a few meals; In addition, the host was very thoughtful leaving cleaning tabs out on the counter for us, and there was a roll of paper towels, and a sponge and dish soap for our use - thank you! Busses ran regularly and were on time; we were fortunate to experience Fasnacht with some festivities only a block from the apartment - FUN! We needed to take a train to the Transportation Museum and the bus we boarded for the train station went as far as it could before it had to stop due to the parade; we were a little intimidated walking the rest of the way through the parade spectators - so many people! Everyone was dressed up and happy and celebrating, and the crowd was overwhelming, but we never once felt unsafe! What a wonderful, joyous experience! We took a self guided tour up Mt. Rigi, taking the boat ferry on beautiful Lake Lucerne to Vitznau where we caught the cog train to the top; halfway back down we caught the cable car down to Weggis, where we had a fantastic lunch, then went back up - highly recommend all of it! One night, it was an easy walk to Fondue House Du Pont where we enjoyed a dinner of delicious cheese fondue with great food and service, and also highly recommended. We would absolutely stay at this apartment again if we're ever fortunate enough to return to Lucerne.

One bit of feedback, which isn't negative and doesn't affect our review at all, would be to provide some salt and pepper, either small shakers or packets - would be nice to have when cooking :) There isn't anything at all we did not like about the apartment. Our experience was wonderful and everything was easy and comfortable from start to finish.

A memorable and enjoyable stay in Lucerne

The location was fantastic and the view over rooftops and to Swiss mountains was lovely. Only a short stroll to the river, restaurants, bakeries and gorgeous Christmas markets. The apartment was very comfortable and warm. Communication excellent.

While we know this is a body corporate issue, not the apartment owners, we found the building entrance and public foyer space on the ground floor did not give a good first impression as it wasn’t particularly clean.

Mostly just convenience but wouldn't stay again.

The floors had us stubbing our toes a lot. The neighbor had a very loud party. The kitchen was tiny. The decorations were flimsy and cheap looking, letting us know that this was never intended to be a comfortable space.

Great location, spacious enough for 4 adults . Beds were comfortable . Everything we needed in the kitchen was provided.

Unfortunately the lift wasn’t working when we arrived and for the next 2 days and the apartment was on the 6th floor ! However, we got a good response from the host and he made a gesture

The location and the apartments were very good. We were very happy and would recommend them.

The location was great. We were close to the old part of town, as well as within walking distance of the train station and the boat wharves. The apartments were renovated, clean and well appointed.

The laundry facilities were not really available, as they are shared with the rest of the building and in use the whole day we wanted to use them.

Not very clean and well maintained. Some pans were unusable, the mattress in one room had broken springs and there were ants in kitchen and couch on arrival.

they give only 1 key thats not workable if you travel in group . atlest need 2 keys. without key u cant enter in apartment lobby.

BECAREFUL !!!! the host asked me to fill guests form. And Pay city tax and damage guarantee using credit card. **** I found out the credit card was charged 300CHF for damage deposit FOR 4 TIMES!!! ( on submit date Mar6, Mar13 , Mar20 and Mar27) which I found out later when I am back to my country !!!! I asked host on whatsapp and then they just said it was system error and released only one charge. WHAT IF MY BANK DID NOT NOTIFY ME!!!!! I have to call my bank to report and cancel my credit card which cause me unnecessary difficulties!!!!! Be careful!!!! I have stayed other places in Switzerland with no these kind of problem !!!!! The problem is with the host *** not with booking.com team.

Apartment closed to old town. Coop also just a few minutes behind the building. Halal food ( chicken & meat ) also a few minutes from apartment. 10 minutes to train station.

-Great location, close to all amenities, and well connected, very easy to reach Old Town and many other shopping areas including supermarkets -good sized shower/toilet (no bath tub)

- Really noisy, it's just on the main road, hence we used ear plugs when we go to bed at night, without them we struggled to get into sleep. The sound proof could've been better. - The kitchen could've been better with more pots and it definitely needs oven dishes or trays, as there's NONE in the apartment, we had to wrap the oven rack with kitchen foil to make toasts! - The wi-fi information provided in the apartment was not correct, so we had poor reception in the beginning, then we found that that info was not the same one that we received separately from the owner. The new wi-fi info worked fine.

Adequate accommodation footsteps away from charming streets

The apartment is located on the 6th floor of a busy main street, however you are only one block away from the streets of the charming old town. The big advantage of the apartment is that it is spacious. And the kids enjoyed Netflix.

A big concern of ours about the apartment is that the front door is not automatically locked from the outside when pulled close. We parents went for an evening stroll and had to lock our kids in the apartment (otherwise anyone could just enter from the outside). There is an intercom system for letting people in, but we did not try it, as we thought there was a chance the kids would fall asleep before we returned. The apartment was clearly furnished as a rental apartment with a bare minimum of basics. We had to provide our own hand soap. The walls needed painting in some places. The flooring was uneven laminate. Some rooms are interconnected with a step. You may hurt yourself until you get used to it. While it was great to be centrally located, I feel like I’d look for more value for my money on a next visit. We felt we paid dearly for the flat, about 450 euro per night. But that could rate could be the going rate for a simple vacation rental in Lucerne. There are two elevators. While the sign states that they are officially for 3 people, they feel like a one-person elevator. You would not want to share with a stranger. We stayed in the spring and kept the balcony door closed. The door needs to be kept closed to avoid noise. And the humongous spider there. There are gorgeous views though, both left and right, however the balcony did not feel inviting. While there are some armchairs out there, I did not have the urge to sit. Previous guests had played with electrical cables so that a bed lamp wasn’t near an extension cord, and the TV worked only when the room lights were on, but we were able to figure the problems out and fix them on our own. No printed literature about Lucerne was provided. While we specified that we were a family of 5, the beds and towels provided were for 4. There were two pullout sofas available. I did rummage around and find spare bed linen for the sofa bed, and towels. Once it took a very long time for hot water to reach the shower, but

The living room heater wasn’t working well, only 3 duvets for 4 adults and 1 child, but with the heaters in the rooms we didn’t feel cold at night.

A central location just steps away from the old town and a spacious apartment.

Very noisy - including at night - the apartment is located on a big street and has no sound insulation. On top of this, there was no heating at night at all and barely anything during the day - we stayed in October and it was very cold, especially at night (we had to sleep fully dressed under the blanket, including with woolen jackets on and ended up sick with a cough few days later). It felt like we were literary sleeping outside. When we raised the issue, they didn’t bother to come and check or offer an electric heater or something to remedy the situation. Instead, they treated us as stupid and told us to turn the radiator knobs (which we had already turned) or look for inexistent floor heating (they clearly didn’t have a clue what the apartment has, had to consult their “team” and haven’t done basic maintenance either). Ridiculously, they tried to argue that heating was working before us or after we left and apparently was all fine when the cleaners arrived (only note - we actually showed the cold radiators to the cleaners when we checked out and they were equally puzzled…) At first the communication was nice before we arrived, but when the issues emerged - very unhelpful and didn’t really care much. We travelled with a small child and this was not a great experience at all (while Luzern is amazing!). Avoid this place and don’t get carried away with a central location and space. There are much better places in Luzern for the same amount of money.

nice location, spacious place

we liked to stay there - location is perfect, place is spacious, staff was very helpful, so in general it is a nice place to stay.

internet for casual browsing was really slow, it also affected Netflix a bit. It is rather noisy with open windows as the street it is located at is very busy, so even if there is a nice balcony, it is not very enjoyable to use it. We were there in October, so in general no need to open windows, but could be a problem in summer.

Short stay in Luzernq

Spacious apartment on a fantastic location. Helpful owner.

The apartment is next to a busy road, which means a lot of noise. When we arrived, the dishwasher was still full with the stuff of the previous guests. The wifi is rather slow. The apartment has a strange design, where the rooms, hallway, kitchen and balcony are all about 10 cm higher/lower relative to each other, which is especially annoying during the night. Our laundry got stuck for a day in a locked washing machine (I believe this was unfortunate and unusual). The lifts are really very small. Overall definitely not a bad stay, but some room for improvement.
