what an adventure this was!!! Allan was the most accommodating host! a very unique place to stay! everything was so fresh and it was unfortunate we didn't have time for his full breakfast! yummy coffee, fruit, and fresh OJ with his own honey. we bought eggs and honey to bring to our next place!

The host was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and quick to answer any questions we had regarding our stay. Allan was an excellent steward into the Mayan village his home is situated on. It is a little adventurous compared to other stays. The middle floor of the home, meant for a couple to stay, is gorgeous with the owner's unique tiling on the floor of the bedroom. If you want a peek into the Mayan culture, this is an amazing opportunity.

Located in the Jungle in a small (200) Mayan village, This stay turned out to be a bit of challenge for me. I am 83 and must admit that adventure travel may be no longer in future travel plans. My son who is 40 who was an outdoor adventure trainer had a great time and plans to go back next year. Alan, the owner, who stayed in the house with us was a fine source of information on the flora and fauna as well as all available in the city of Valladolid. He was able to arrange a cooking lesson for me by a local Mayan lady who taught me how to make Cochinita Pibil. If you are into roughing it a bit, experiencing Mayan culture firsthand and learning what it is like to be in the jungle, this is a great place for you.
