The staff are very welcoming and helpful. Although we were kate for our check in, they waited for us and guided us through the parking. The bed was very comfortable with a clean shower.
Unfortunately, the room was not spotlessly clean (otherwise I would have rated 10/10. My girlfriend and I suffer from bad allergies and this was the only place in Scotland we had to take our allergy pills as there was quite some dust on the window sill and curtains. However forbthe price we paid, I am not complaining and maybe it was my error that I did not inform the staff about our allergies.

Location was OK and within easy walking distance to a restaurant (hotel). A good location for accessing a range of sights without being in the heart of the hustle and bustle. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The parking is tight but I was made aware of this prior to arrival - arrangements were made to accommodate all.
Steep steps were a challenge but manageable - this situation is understandable for a long established premises.
