My mistake but I didn’t realise there was a shared bathroom.

Proximity to the airport is the biggest strength. No need for a taxi on the way home! The WiFi was very reliable all weekend. Seemed to be plenty of room to park a car on site though I didn't have one, so I didn't actually ask about that.

Apart from the airport, there isn't very much around in the local area and walking into Catania is rather hary due to the lack of footpath provision alongside many of the roads. Possibly I should have done more research here to discover this beforehand. I think a hire car is somewhat of an essential, as it's very far out from most places. I had hoped to get some more local guidance from the host on how to get around Catania especially info about local taxi services but I didn't really get that, despite asking in advance a couple of times. I managed to make do with access to the internet. The switch in the bathroom I was allocated was non existent on arrival, though this was fixed after a day or two.
