The Olive Grove Villa with private swimming pool

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit in der Olive Grove Villa und haben uns von Anfang an sehr wohlgefühlt. Das Haus, der große Pool und die ruhige Lage inmitten der Olivenbäume sind einfach toll. Archanes ist ein schöner Ausgangspunkt, um Kreta zu erkunden. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir unsere Gastgeberin Fofi. Sie hat sich während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts sehr herzlich um uns gekümmert, uns viele tolle Tipps und Vorschläge für Ausflüge und Restaurants gegeben und war jederzeit erreichbar. Sogar als wir eines Abends etwas zu essen bestellen wollten, hat sie sich darum gekümmert und die Bestellung für uns organisiert. Auch frische Handtücher wurden zwischendurch angeboten. Man merkt wirklich, dass ihr wichtig ist, dass sich ihre Gäste wohlfühlen. Vielen Dank, Fofi, für die schöne Zeit und die tolle Betreuung! 😊

Eigentlich nichts – wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

An absolutely beautiful property with everything we needed. Fofi went above and beyond to accommodate us. She is a real gem!

The were two slight issues: - One of the rooms air conditioners made very loud decompression noises which kept the person sleeping there awake. She ended up cooling the room during the day and keeping it off at night. - My room often smelt like the sewage system via my adjoining bathroom. I kept the fan on in the bathroom, but it would still linger. That said, these did not ruin our stay.

Fofi was an excellent host, answering our messages immediately before and during our stay, meeting us and taking us into the town to pick up groceries and arranging car hire making for a stress free arrival. The villas and their setting were beyond our expectations! Set within an olive grove and surrounded by vineyards and orange groves. Such a tranquil, peaceful location with just bird song for company and yet just 5 minutes walk into the village with several shops and tavernas ( the one on the corner with blue doors was our favourite). The local town was just 5 minutes drive with beautiful little streets and many tavernas. At the villa, everything was immaculate both inside and out with so many different areas to sit and relax depending on your sun and shade preferences as well as 5 different outside dinning areas! The grounds were very large and set on 3 different levels up the side of the valley with the pool separating the two villas. The pool was stunning and received daily maintenance before we surfaced each morning. The lovely cleaner came once during the middle of our stay.

After such a wonderful time at The Olive Grove Villas, I hesitate to add anything negative but I think honest feedback is important. In May, the unheated pool was a challenge for the less hardy amongst us but wonderful once acclimatised. All the main roads were easy to drive along but be aware that the last few minutes drive to the villa is up extremely steep, narrow roads with very sharp turns! Just keep in low gear. The villas were beautifully furnished but some of the artwork felt out of place.

Wundervolle etwas abgelegene und doch schnell erreichbare Unterkunft vom Flughafen Heraklion. Toller Pool, der täglich gereinigt wird. Eine große und eine kleine Villa mit insgesamt vier Doppelschlafzimmern mit jeweils einem vollen Bad, plus zwei Schlafsofas im Wohnzimmer. Ästhetisches und durchdachtes Design. Zwei komplett ausgestattete Küchen. Tolle Gastgeberin!
