The Olive Grove Villa with private swimming pool

Fofi was an excellent host, answering our messages immediately before and during our stay, meeting us and taking us into the town to pick up groceries and arranging car hire making for a stress free arrival. The villas and their setting were beyond our expectations! Set within an olive grove and surrounded by vineyards and orange groves. Such a tranquil, peaceful location with just bird song for company and yet just 5 minutes walk into the village with several shops and tavernas ( the one on the corner with blue doors was our favourite). The local town was just 5 minutes drive with beautiful little streets and many tavernas. At the villa, everything was immaculate both inside and out with so many different areas to sit and relax depending on your sun and shade preferences as well as 5 different outside dinning areas! The grounds were very large and set on 3 different levels up the side of the valley with the pool separating the two villas. The pool was stunning and received daily maintenance before we surfaced each morning. The lovely cleaner came once during the middle of our stay.

After such a wonderful time at The Olive Grove Villas, I hesitate to add anything negative but I think honest feedback is important. In May, the unheated pool was a challenge for the less hardy amongst us but wonderful once acclimatised. All the main roads were easy to drive along but be aware that the last few minutes drive to the villa is up extremely steep, narrow roads with very sharp turns! Just keep in low gear. The villas were beautifully furnished but some of the artwork felt out of place.

Eine große und eine kleine Villa mit insgesamt vier Doppelschlafzimmern mit jeweils einem vollen Bad, plus zwei Schlafsofas im Wohnzimmer. Ästhetisches und durchdachtes Design. Zwei komplett ausgestattete Küchen. Tolle Gastgeberin!

The location was amazing. It felt super private and secluded, while still close to Archanes. It is about a 15 minute walk from the villa, and a lovely way to see the area. The villa itself was surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, so it felt peaceful, quiet, serene and just really beautiful. The outdoor space honestly made the trip. There was a huge pool, an outdoor shower, and a big table outside where we had breakfast every morning and did a private chef lunch one day. The whole place had this really calm energy to it, like it genuinely felt like a little wellness retreat. The villas were so well equipped and really comfortable for a group. There were seven of us and nobody ever felt cramped or on top of each other. We honestly could’ve fit more people easily. All of the furnishings were beautiful and had a Mediterranean feel and everything was modern. Both houses had full kitchens, which was amazing because we cooked a lot during the trip. Everything just felt really easy there. Comfortable, clean, relaxing, safe. We were all kind of obsessed with the place from the moment we stepped foot on it. To add to all the amazingness of the space I have to take a moment to speak of the host, Fofi who was honestly an incredible host and such a huge part of why the trip felt so special. You could immediately tell how connected she was to the area and how much she genuinely cared about making sure we had the best experience possible. Every recommendation she gave us was absolutely perfect, whether it was tavernas, Cretan food to try, or activities. She made everything feel really easy and personal. She also connected us to taxis and took care of reservations for us and it felt more like meeting a friend who truly loves where they live and wants you to experience the best parts of it. She was also super responsive, helpful, and thoughtful throughout the whole stay, and it made such a difference for all of us.

Everything was perfect. 10/10 location and you would be missing out if you don’t stay here.

Sehr stilvoll renoviert, mit einer wunderschön gepflegten Anlage. Fofi hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen und war jederzeit erreichbar. Das Frühstück war jeden Morgen reichhaltig und sehr lecker. Der große Pool ist wunderbar, und die Lage ist ideal, um Heraklion und die Umgebung zu erkunden. Besonders schön ist auch die Nähe zu Archanes – ein zauberhaftes Dorf mit tollen Tavernen. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

Am anderen Ende des Dorfes gibt es Veranstaltungshallen, die man abends manchmal hören kann.
