Great value for a charming appartment in a local neighborhood 15 minutes from the historic center

I had a conference at the University of Florence for several days and the location of Home il Piccolo Nido was perfect ! I could easily walk to the universtiy campus and that was great. The appartment is in a charming local neighborhood and it gives the visitor a glimpse in the less touristic Florence. I loved it ! And it is easy to get in the historic town with the tram - there is a station 5-10 minutes walk from the appartment. As for the appartment, great facilities, there is a great little kitchen with all you need to cook and prepare food. The room is spacious and very welcoming.

The mattress of the bed could be a bit more comfortable, as it felt a hard for me (I am used to sleep in softer matresses). There could also be a few more kitchen towels for drying the dishes, but that is a small detail. You really get a great place to stay for the price you pay with this charming little appartment !

Perfect Stay

Everything was super clean and looked very fancy. Perfect for a couple! They had everything you could need, even things to make your morning coffee or a full meal, access to iron, etc. I loved that they had little snacks for us too!

You had to wait a while after one person showered to get hot water again but I think this is a relatively common occurrence in Italy.

Very clean, well presented and very well equipped apartment with every detail considered in a quieter area of Florence. 30 minutes walk from station and city centre. communication from host was excellent and check in and out process simple and straight forward.

one of the reasons we booked the apartment was because it was equipped with a washing machine, as we are travelling for 6 weeks in Italy this was important to us but on arrival we were informed that the washing machine was broken.

the flat itself was perfect, it is well equipped - you’ll find everything you might ever need. the host is friendly and helpful

the only problem is noise. the appointment is really noisy as it’s situated on the ground floor and you can hear everything that happens outside: very noisy elevator, people talking in the hall, kids nearby (there is probably a kindergarten). it was hard to sleep

Cosy and functional appartement

Very clean flat with lots of facilities. Basically you'll find anything you need for your trip and lots of space. The historical center of Florence is at 30min by foot, or 15 min in tram with a station nearby.

The appartement is located near a church, so you hear the bell at 8 am. Doesn't really matter if the goal is to visit Florence early

when we arrived at the property, it was immaculate, super clean and tidy !! the host was super nice, although she didn’t speak much English, however translated everything via help of Google. she would always ensure that our stay was comfortable by sending messages on WhatsApp! couldn’t recommend this property more for holiday in central Florence!

Very well equipped flat

Nice room. Kitchen and the apartment very well equipped. There was everything you need in the kitchen (cork screw, kitchen towels, cutlery, coffee maker, chopping boards). There was a washing machine in the room. The bathroom was very spacious. The apartment was clean.

It would be nice to have some wine glasses.

A comfortable, homely place.

The kitchen is thoroughly equipped with a gas stove, oven and a large fridge with freezer, and there were even some jars with coffee, sugar and salt. There a enough pots and pans, and casseroles to cook full meals. Moreover the rooms were superbly clean, and the bathroom contains a nice shower with a rainfall head, and an additional regular one. There is a washing machine in the bathroom as well, and a small patio provides you with space to hang your laundry out to dry.

Only a couple of calamities: some of the dishes could have been better cleaned, and there was only one roll of toilet paper.

Excellently equipped apartment with absolutely all utensils you may need. A bed room with quite comfortable bed and an equipped kitchen with a lot of cookware. A fridge, a gas stove, a microwave, TV, air-conditioner, etc. Very well equipped bathroom. Hospital and welcoming host. Good location. Quiet street, 5-7 minutes on foot to the tram or bus stops, 25-30 minutes walk to the historical center. Big supermarket nearby working from 7am to 23pm.

I would suggest that better sealing of the windows will be useful. We visited the apartment in winter, and it was rather chilling especially in the bathroom.

Concerto in Firenze

L'abitazione è facile da raggiungere a 5 minuti dalla fermata del bus, molto vicino a un piccolo centro commerciale con negozi, ristoranti e supermercato. La proprietaria gentile e disponibile ci ha mandato diverse foto, era impossibile sbagliare portone! Ci ha aperto lei stessa ma c'è la possibilità di ritirare le chiavi in una cassetta di sicurezza. Non ci sono scale solo pochi gradini all'ingresso, l'appartamento è vicino all'ascensore quindi l'unico difetto può essere il rumore che si sente dalla tromba dell'ascensore quando è in movimento. La via invece, essendo secondaria, non è troppo trafficata o rumorosa e tranquilla di notte. L'appartamento è confortevole per due persone e dotato di aria condizionata, molto apprezzato il bagno con finestra! Vi è una porta finestra con zanzariera che dà su un giardino comune esterno, può essere utilizzato per brevi uscite o per fumare ma non per sostare nell'area esterna. L'appartamento è dotato di una lavatrice, quindi è possibile fare il bucato, e di una cucina con tutto il necessario; la proprietaria lascia disponibili olio, sale e delle bottigliette d'acqua. I letti sono comodi e non troppo morbidi, avevamo un set di 3 asciugamani a testa, il sapone e un bel phon apprezzato essendo in due ragazze! Ho trovato una cosa carina la presenza del libro delle dediche.

L'unico difetto come già detto è il rumore dell'ascensore ma ci si può fare poco
