Dundlk Stay

Hotel is new, everything smelled amazing. Decor is amazing too. The food is great with lovely staff. Breakfast was my highlight of the stay! The most amazing breakfast. All fresh and very tasty.

The worst mistake they made about the hotel is not to have air conditioner. I stayed in February winter but it was unbearably hot. I opened a window and requested a fan but it was still too warm. Can’t imagine a menopausal woman staying here in the summer. Shower pressure was also disappointing..

Clean, spacious , modern

Bedroom was too hot despite turning the radiator off and opening the window…. Save yourself some heating costs guys and knock the thermostat down at night … Any hotter than 18 degrees isn’t conducive to sleep

Not a fan of self service breakfasts !

All staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel. Receptionists were exceptionally good. A special thanks to Lisa and the two that I thought were sisters !

I prefer a Hotel where you order breakfast and it is brought to your table. My wife is a wheelchair user and breakfast for me meant frequent visits to the self-service area to get tea toast and hot food for both of us.

Lovely hotel and great location

Lovely big bedroom and bathroom. Breakfast was excellent. Staff exceptionally helpful and friendly. Very relaxing atmosphere.

Unfortunately, we were delayed for nearly 5 hours getting there due to crash on M1, so missed out on experiencing more of the hotel and facilities.

Disappointing exp - but staff are amazing.

Staff were great.

Paid for a king executive or whatever it’s called. Check in took about 30 mins of standing in a queue (not the check in staffs fault) there was a it issue. Original room booked wasn’t ready when I finally checked in, was told to wait in the bar - but had to push back on this as I had a dinner at 4 to get too. When I was in the room - the tv was not working, the shower gel was empty. Disappointing experience.

Location, bar and breakfast options

The oppressive heat is overwhelming. Came in the summer, was too warm with no air conditioning and again in the winter. Both times I found it difficult to get the right temperature. Whilst the breakfast options were good the quality of a couple of the ingredients were lacking for me. The black and white pudding were very dry - they need to cook less of it at a time and ensure it’s fresher. The beans weren’t very nice either. Cutlery was dirty.

Another great stay

As always the room was very clean and comfortable, and food in the restaurant was excellent, service at the desk and restaurant were perfect and the decor put up for Chrismas was tastefula and festive. Another great stay.

Very minor issues - Bedroom was a little chilly when we arrived, took me a minute to realise I had to turn the radiator on and up myself. Curtains are great at keeping out light but theyre so stiff to pull open and shut, a bit of a struggle for privacy on the ground floor.

A weekend break in Dundalk

This is one of the hotels with large rooms at an affordable price. The hotel is still new and so are its facilities.

The only drawback is that such a beautiful hotel has no swimming pool yet for the similar price per night, one can get a hotel within Dundalk or just a few minutes driving outside Dundalk, with a swimming pool.

That night we stayed there was a band playing. We had to walk around the outside of the hotel to get into it.as paying residents i think we should of been able to get threw from hotel. There was a lot of other people saying the same.

A bit disappointing

I paid for a executive suite but it was basically the same as a standard room , I also had to wait and didn't get to check in until 4pm.

They didn't have the sports channels on to watch the sports, also the bar staff were extremely slow to serve you drinks .

Over all it is a very nice hotel and the staff are very good.

Food was very nice from the breakfast to the meals and price were ok.All the staff where very friendly.

Only bad point was when drinks where ordered from the table they where very slow to arrive and we had to ask for them a few times also we where charged for drinks we didnt order.We were than told it would take 30 days for them to refund us for them. We are booking in over 20 people for a night stay again soon with breakfast & meals it would have been nice to be offered a better rate considering the business we are bring to the hotel.

When I booked it it said breakfast included.. when I checked in the receptionist said that the breakfast was included...but when we went down for breakfast in the morning we were told it was Room only.... which I thought ok maybe I made a mistake so after breakfast I went to reception and clarified it about the breakfast they then said it wasn't included..so I said ok I'll pay extra for the breakfast they said that wasn't a problem so paid for both days...but when we went for breakfast the following morning we we're told the exact same thing.that it was Room only.... needless to say we still had breakfast....mix up on their behalf...

Frustrating that such an otherwise modern hotel doesn’t have air con in the rooms. Breakfast was better when we last stayed 2 years ago.
