RIAD VILLA SIDI BABA

The riad was very clean, peaceful, and well maintained. It was the perfect place to relax after a busy day exploring Marrakech. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. The location was excellent—just a short walk from the souk and Medina, with well-lit streets that made it easy to get around.

Nothing. We had a wonderful stay and everything met our expectations.

Our room was very comfortable with a powerful AC unit (necessary in the June heat) and ample bathroom with excellent water pressure. There was a mini fridge and large closet available. The breakfast was abundant and very tasty.

This is no fault of the staff, but our room was on the ground floor with only internal windows right next to where breakfast was served. The noise from the courtyard was minimal, but it did feel like we had less privacy. If you are worried about that, request an upstairs room in your reservation.

We had a wonderful stay at Riad Villa Sidi Baba and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Marrakech. The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and highly professional throughout our stay. From arranging our airport transfer to assisting with any requests, their hospitality made us feel very welcome. The riad itself is a true gem tucked away in the heart of the Medina. It is beautifully maintained, spotlessly clean, and full of charm. Our room was exquisite, combining traditional Moroccan character with comfort and attention to detail. We were pleasantly surprised to find bathrobes provided, which added an extra touch of luxury to our stay. Breakfast was delicious, generous, and provided a great start to each day. Overall, the riad exceeded our expectations in terms of comfort, service, and authenticity.

The only points worth noting are related to its location within the Medina. As with many traditional riads, it is not directly accessible by public transport or taxi. If you are travelling with large or heavy luggage, it may be worth arranging a porter, as navigating the busy, narrow cobbled alleyways can be challenging. Additionally, there is no lift, which is entirely expected in a traditional riad, so guests should be prepared to carry their luggage up the stairs if allocated a room on the upper floors. These minor inconveniences are far outweighed by the overall experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to book Riad Villa Sidi Baba again on a future visit to Marrakech.

The location was nice because it was quiet and peaceful, but close to the main plaza. You have to walk to it, but that is the case for every riad in Marrakech. They also did our laundry (€8/6kg), which was convenient and reasonable, it was a good refresh for the rest of our travels. They also helped us get to the airport, which was also affordable (€15). They are very transparent with prices, which is helpful. The staff was extremely nice and approachable, but I was worried that the main staffer didn't get much sleep because we would see him when we left early in the morning and came back late at night; I hope he gets some rest for his hard work and high performance!

It is a little hard to find at first, but that is with every riad in Marrakech. Like I said, it's in a very secluded, yet central location, which is really convenient (we were only a 5-10min walk from almost everything and didn't depend on taxis). Perhaps having someone meet you on the main road would be nice to guide you and help with luggage if you have a lot. Just tell them that and I'm sure they'd be happy to help! :)
