I liked the communal element and met great people there. The dinner was decent and the wifi was great around the common area. We were luckily matched with a great guide for our full day truck tour. It made all the difference.
My room didn’t match expectations. Splintered plywood flooring, power outlets that didn’t work, cold water showers due to not turning on the hot water early enough. The first night I arrived staff were very attentive and made a feast due to a large tour group staying that night. The next night tea wanted made and ready, the food was more limited and staff were disinterested due to that group being gone. The location of tents is blocked from direct sunset or sunrise views but you can walk easily to catch sunset from around the bend.
