It was a wonderful experience, and we loved it so much that we will definitely come back. The landscape is absolutely stunning, and the people and their stories are truly amazing. When you come here, you feel like you’re in a completely different world. The experience itself was extraordinary, and the price is very low especially considering the incredible view you get. A traditional breakfast completes it all, making you truly feel like you’re living the desert life.

In the evening, the desert gets very, very cold, so make sure you come prepared with warm clothes especially if you’re visiting during winter, like we did. However, overall, the experience was great. The property informed us from the very beginning that the evenings would be cold and advised us to bring warm clothing, so as long as you check the weather for the period of your stay, everything will be just fine.

We had an unforgettable desert experience in Wadi Rum which is a place nothing short of magical and most of it was due to our amazing hosts Mahdi, Auda and their family which welcomed us with warmth and hospitality and made us feel right at home. The camp is beautifully set against the dramatic red-rock landscape, and as night falls, it transforms the desert into a serene, almost dreamlike setting. The accommodations are exceptional, blending comfort with an authentic Bedouin feel. The tents are impeccably clean, cozy, and well-equipped, offering a perfect balance between luxury and nature. There is a private bathroom, the beds are comfortable and there is Starlink internet with a stronger signal near the main tent. What truly sets Candles Camp apart is the overall experience they create. The food delicious and generous, with traditional Jordanian dishes prepared with care and love. In the evening after dinner, we set around the fire, drinking tea, sharing stories and singing and dancing to traditional Bedouin music and all kinds of songs from out different countries. The staff go above and beyond to ensure every guest feels special, whether it’s organizing desert tours and other activities, or simply checking in to make sure everything is perfect. We booked an all-day jeep tour which took us to many special places in the desert, from tall rock arches to small caves, canyons, sandboard places and it all ended with a stop where we drank tea and enjoyed the beautiful sun setting down behind the walls of rock. We also had a camel tour which made us very relaxed and helped us appreciate the beautiful nature and animals around us. We had an amazing time and created lifetime memories and wonderful new friends. Candles Camp isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a place to connect with the beauty of Wadi Rum, the local culture, and memories you’ll carry with you long after you leave.
