Loved the decor

Only 2 staff members operating the entire time. Waited 15 minutes to find one to check in. Decor is nice, but gardens were overgrown and needed maintenance. Felt it was like a hostel-no people. No staff to be seen, and no vibe. You couldn’t even see the hotel name sign when we arrived with the taxi driver and didn’t look inviting at all-once inside there is no seats to sit on in reception. This places was like the Uluwatu Boho. They both look better I. The photo’s.

This place is so undervalued. It overlooks and directly faces one of the most beautiful rice field views in canggu (the only one left). You get a stunning sunset from the pool, the rooms are spacious, and the natural wooden ambiance really gives it that authentic bali charm. it’s hard to believe you’re actually in canggu when you’re here.

Appreciated the design of the property and the staff, a very charming hotel. The kind of hotel with a little less obvious floor plan that offers something new for its guest to discover. When I asked for a full body mirror for my room, they installed one into a panel there. Very prompt service.

The towels could use bleaching or replacing, the mini fridge and bathroom smelt sour when I arrived but I stayed so long I think I got used to the bathroom smell? I finally caved and tried to use the mini fridge one night but it didn't work anw. This one is more of a me problem but possibly useful info for future solo travelers, on three to four occasions there were frogs hanging out in my bathroom. I was scared of them jumping on me while I was unclothed or trying to potty and was too scared to try to get them out of my room on my own but the reception closes at 10pm so afterwards there's no one to help with this! Eventually I got used to this too so maybe it's a blessing? There is a beautiful rice paddy right behind the hotel, if you're planning to travel and have respiratory sensitivities it's worth inquiring if it's burning season. (This isn't a neg on the hotel just a note!) Lastly, I think what affected my comfort the most during my stay was the hotel owner. He was kind and friendly, and very present. I often felt like I was a guest in his personal home more than I was a guest at a hotel. I would have preferred more professionalism and privacy. He was very enthusiastic about chatting and divulging information about his life. As a solo femme traveler I try my best to be polite but at some point it did feel a bit patronizing when he shared his upbringing and politics with me (pro-war, doesn't believe there's a genocide happening currently in Palestine.) Had I known this prior I would not have booked this place for my accommodation despite how pretty the hotel is. If I had not prepaid for my entire stay that would have been enough reason for me to cancel and move somewhere else.
