I loved the Mountain View. It was a beautiful property. Equip with everything you would need. (Including adapter plugs - which was greatly appreciated). There was also a bowl full of tea light candles. Which created a warm cozy feel in the arctic temperatures of Norway. The host was also really nice and helpful. Would give this place a 10/10. Highly recommended.

The accommodation provided here was beautiful, the focus around the glass loft was evident and the furnishings were comfortable and functional. Our arrival was easy, despite the sporadic communication with our host, we made ourselves comfortable and found all we required. The bathroom was clean and despite the dark feeling was also well ventilated. Being located so close to Tromso was brilliant, we were able to spend time enjoying the town during the late afternoon and still be back to enjoy the view from the glassed room before bed in the evening.
There are no curtains or blinds in the bedroom, which means that during the lighter months there is no way to make the room dark, this needs to be resolved.

The view is stunning and we did view the lights from the lounge area 2 nights running.
The bedroom is actually impossible to sleep in not only is the bed only suitable for one person the blind had broken and had not been repaired just thrown by the side of the window sill - there was not one curtain or blind in the whole apartment . Tromso is an extremely bright city and all the houses leave their lights on a night so if you are sensitive to light it’s an issue. We spent every night making up the bed settee for me and moving the mattress from the bedroom to various positions in the apartment so my husband could sleep for over £350 per night this is just not acceptable. A hotel right on the front with a large sea view window was the same price!!
The location is up and down a steep hill so if you are unfit and a little infirm (knee issues etc) beware….it was particularly scary for me as it had snowed prior to our visit so I was like Bambi going down the stepper section …. Take spikes for your boots!
We messaged the owner the first morning on two platforms to request someone came and fixed the blind and also we had a couple of cleanliness issues. We also thought the standard of bedding and towels were appalling quality for the cost of the apartment - I have never come across such stained, ripped tea towels and scratchy poor quality bathroom towels. The owner needs to improve the experience for his guests. The opportunity to improve the bedroom situation is possible it just requires some thought and obviously cost and I’m sure with the profits made for the cost of the is apartment this could be achieved.
