Eco-sustainable Luxury Between Beach Hotspots & Tulum Town by Stella Rentals

It was a great stay in a cool part of Tulum with a few bars and restaurants nearby. It was slightly off the beaten track but we don't mind that. We did need a taxi to get to the beach and to go further afield, they're expensive and a 10 min drive was never less than $50. It was a 10 minute walk to the main road with lots of places to eat, shop and drink. We were there for the Day Zero festival and it didn't disappoint, we had an amazing holiday and will definitely be returning to Tulum.

It would be more helpful if there was a reception for help with booking taxi's, information etc. Our host was great though and answered every question promptly. We were disappointed after viewing our friends apartments, in the same complex. They all had artwork on the walls and furniture on the small patios outside. We didn't have any and we felt like that would have really added to it. The bathroom has a terrible damp smell and got worse as the week went on. The apartment wasn't cleaned during our stay and for the price, it would have been most welcome, especially as there was no welcome pack or breakfast included in the price.
