The staff at check in were really nice and the room was modern and comfortable with a beautiful sea view. Star watching was fun and we enjoyed the food. the hotel had a great onsen leftover I believe from the old hotel that had been modernized.

A lot of the staff seemed new and a little untrained. They seemed to get confused easily , freeze or run and ask someone else to help. We speak Japanese so it wasn’t a language issue I think. The onsen and room wear of a faded midsized t shirt with the hotel name on and khaki mid length shorts were not very nice and the Yukawa and overcoat people staying as Japanese guests were given was much nicer. I asked to change this which caused a little confusion. The hotel should stick with the original Yukawa. We were offered more bread on the second morning as one breakfast was delayed by 25 mins as they forgot about one of us, for my partner and it never came. There were many staff for breakfast but all seemed a little stressed. The public toilets need updating there are still some with the old squatting type, this doesn’t match the cost or style of ge hotel.
