Poor standard of accommodation, good location.

Good location for coastal path and st Michael’s Mount.

Rooms / accommodation very tired. Bathroom poor, shower is just a shower curtain around the shower head, no base so you had to squeegee the floor to clear up water. Kitchen and sitting area is up an external set of stairs.

Severe damp and mould problems, poorly cleaned, parking fines. A nightmare all round.

The upstairs of the cottage was the better part of the property with the living room and kitchen, and a short walk from St Michael's Mount.

Arrived for check in to be told cottage wasn't ready. Came back hour and a half later - Severe damp and mould in all the downstairs bedrooms and bathroom. Black mould spores. It was very hard to breathe and dangerous for a five year old child and our health. Unable to keep windows open for ventilation due to smokers in pub in courtyard. Found hairs on wall, soiled underwear and sanitary towels in my bedside table. I did not unpack my clothes in the drawers, kept most of them in my bag. Clearly was not cleaned at all, and building had problems. Faced a battle all week to get issues fixed. They cleaned the mould off the wall, but they did not supply a dehumidifier until the evening before we left. We were given an air cooler but this wasn't a dehumidifier. Was overall quite disappointing for the price paid. The owner did provide a free breakfast for my partner and child on our last day and seemed ok to speak with, however it did take a while to resolve issues and two weeks after the holiday to get a partial refund. Owner was slow to sort. You also have to enter your number plate onto a touch screen within 10 mins of arrival, which I did, but I still received two parking fine letters when I got back from holiday which I was not able to appeal, despite showing proof of booking. Receiving parking fines whilst legitimately staying there isn't acceptable, neither was the condition of the property. We would probably come back, but only if all the issues are resolved, and a lot of work is required to sort them.

Well equipped kitchen, comfy lounge.

Although the property was well located in the area being behind a pub/hotel meant there was some noise at night and early in the morning. The bathroom although clean was very tired, difficult to properly dry towels, with only one set provided. Bedroom also tired despite a fresh lick of paint there was still a small patch of damp. Outside space very small and being behind the pub which had outside tables there was no privacy.

Comfortable, clean accommodation with all amenities. The lift was quite a novelty as there were no stairs.

Amazing stay. I would book again.

I was so happy from the moment I entered the property. It was fresh and clean. The beds were so comfy I honestly used to look forward to getting in after a long day out at the beach. I liked that the house is very central to main shops so anything we needed was easy to get. Walking distance from the beach so with kids that was a bonus. Enjoyed the quietness of the area. The host was so friendly and helpful. The day we got there we found scones, clotted cream and jam waiting for Us in the fridge! It felt like home. The best.

Great for a short break.

The Stables was great for a couple of nights break for 4 adults. Bar and restaurant in the hotel ideal for a bite to eat, restaurant straight across the road was good. Bus ran right past the door taking you to either Marizion or Penzance both of which were also walkable along the beach. While the property does not have picturesque views and is in a busy village it was well equipped and clean, beds were comfortable and lots of extra bits in the kitchen (salt pepper, cooking oil were handy) Nice to have a cream tea left when we arrived. Staff were friendly, would book again for a short break.

Bedrooms were downstairs and an external spiral staircase led up to the living room and kitchen, internally it had a disabled lift which was odd for us but I’m sure very useful if you have disabilities. Toiletries left in the bathroom would have been a bonus.

Spacious living room, good kitchen. Complimentary Corning milk, scorns and cream was a nice touch. A lift between two floors is an interesting solutions as well ☺️.

The outdoor area of the cottage is part of the pubs beer garden , so you may hear loud customers in your bedroom in the evening.

Very close to Penzance & Marazion. Plenty of free carparking in the carpark. Lovely kitchen & lounge Area. Great cream tea on arrival.

No internal stairs. Only a wheelchair lift. Wet room was basic

Exceptional

Very clean. Facilities available in the self catering property were excellent. Had two kids with us and the space is ideal for two adults and two small people. Perfect for getting in and out of Penzance with the car.

Internet intermittent. Downstairs bedrooms feels damp but there was a humidifier in the room.
