Il Colombarone

We had a really lovely week here. The setting is beautiful, with amazing views and a gorgeous pool area. The whole place has a lovely rustic feel but with modern touches, which we really liked. Breakfast was lovely, we were always offered eggs/yogurt alongside the usual things they brought out like fruit, croissants, cakes etc. Overall, it’s a really lovely place and we enjoyed our stay. I think it would be absolutely perfect for a couple looking for a romantic getaway. For a family of four, I’d just say to be aware of the limited storage and check what events and outside pool access are planned during your stay.

The room itself was lovely, but for a family of four there just wasn’t enough storage. We ended up living out of our suitcases for the whole week, so a bit more wardrobe/storage space would have made a big difference. The main thing we were disappointed about was that we weren’t told beforehand that they were holding a Ferragosto event during our stay. On our way to the pool on the first day, we were told that all of the sunbeds had been booked for the event. We did complain as there had been no mention of this, and we had specifically booked the B&B because of the pool. They did find us four sunbeds, which we appreciated, but the whole situation was a little awkward and uncomfortable.

Everything, perfect location to meet friends in San Michel. Breakfast incredible and plenty of it. Peaceful, beautiful scenery. Everywhere clean and tidy especially our room which was very tastefully decorated.

Could have been a few more hooks in bathroom for towels.
