Ca’Ghironda

The property is a great value for money, good size and in a nice quiet area away from the business of the main island. But buy the proper waterbus pass for the days you'll be there, otherwise single trips can be quite pricey. The place is big enough, has a separate kitchen with some appliances and a portable aircon that does the job. Host provided clear instructions, person who met us was lovely and gave us a lot of tips about the area and Venice in general. But she mentioned she doesn't speak a lot of English, with was fine for me as I speak enough Italian to get by, but worth knowing. Overall would stay there away if back in Venice.

The flat can get quite hot during summer which can feel suffocating due to the humidity as well. But the portable air con does the job, even though it might take a bit to properly bring the temperature down.

Logement spacieux, agréable, calme. Localisation parfaite loin de la folie de San Marco et a 5 mn en vaporetto. Propriétaires agréables qui ont donné plein d'infos, check in check out rapide. Tout le confort nécessaire (cuisine, machine a laver etc)

Le logement est très humide et chaud (bon c'est Venise j'imagine que c'est partout pareil). Avec le ventilateur et la clim présents cela soulage tout de même. Et nous avons vu des cafards dans la salle de bain.

La situació a l.Illa de Giudecca era genial ja que estava molt ben comunicada . L habitatge estava a 2 minuts de la parada de vaporetto que et diu a Sant Marc. L illa era molt tranquil.la. Les fotos reflexa totalment la realitat. El llit era còmode.

Tot i que l.apartament tenia un ventilador a la cuina i un aire acondicionat a l.habitacio feia molta calor. Les nits han sigut molt caluroses però no podies posar l aire acondicionat perquè feia molt soroll i era incompatible posar l aire i dormir. També vam trobar a faltar un petit sofà als cuina per poder veure la tele i més informació d on deixar les deixalles.

+ Sara (manager) was very attentive and helpful + it's located on a nice and quiet island + totally equipped (we could easily make coffee and breakfast) + the bed was comfortable

- the heating system broke down and it was very cold inside - my girlfriend got sick and lost her deposit on a surgery she was supposed to have after our return (the owner gave us discount but it was far from what she lost because being sick you can't have an operation). The manager tried to make it up to us and brought a portable heating device. One wasn't enough but 2nd day evening she brought us 2nd device and it was better - the water pressure in the shower wasn't good and the shower set is located in the corner which made me to touch the wall and it was a bad experience as there's mould on it so basically I was wiping the mould with my body (also on the first night the water wasn't warm) - there are no curtains so all the people outside can watch you in the bedroom (it's on ground floor), as two maintenance guys in the morning which were just outside the window - the apartment's price is good but you need to add 40EUR to buy a 3-day (in our case) ticket for a water bus - otherwise you won't get to the apartment. Adding this to the total price makes it... well, 2 weeks earlier my mom stayed in a very nice hotel near Rialto bridge cheaper than the price of this apartment/water bus ticket costs To sum up, the apartment needs a renovation and if the heating works fine, it would be a nice choice. At the moment, I would choose something else.
