Manned front desk which worked for late check in. Clean and functional. Beautiful balcony and good size bathroom.
Old, dated and a bit tired. Yet very clean with very polite and service oriented staff.

Location was good , very close to town centre , bars and restaurants.
Breakfast had a good variety to choose from.
We found street parking easily enough. No designated hotel parking was available to us.
The hotel was very tired and looked as though it had not been decorated since the early 80s
Having messaged via booking.com and received no response, we called ahead to request a double bed and room with a bath.
We received these however could not use the bath as there was no plug , I went to reception to request a plug and was told there were none, I would have to request one from the manager who was not on duty until after 11. This was at 6 pm! The receptionist stated they could not unlock the room where there may be a plug , only the manager.
Maybe it was just as well we couldn't take a bath as the bathroom needed either a good scrub or ripping out completely. Black mould around the shower screen , grout was mouldy and discoloured, the mirror was flaking.
Also, a previous resident of the room had carved their name into the head of the bed, and no attempt had been made to remove this by sanding and revarnishing.
