Great base for our Johannesburg stay. The local area (Melville) has some great bars and restaurants. Felt very safe and the staff were lovely, got up at 6am to make us breakfast before our safari. Room was comfortable and shower hot and great pressure

I had a wonderful stay at Melville Turret. From the moment I arrived, I felt more like a welcomed friend than just another guest. The room was incredibly cozy and spotless, but the real highlight was the hospitality. Ms Prisca went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed, including some great local recommendations. If you’re looking for a peaceful, personal touch that you just can't get at a big hotel, this is the place!"

The bed was comfortable.
I had to wait outside in the rain and dark trying to get into the place/pressing the button. Even though I made an online booking earlier that day, there was no staff to open for me. Standing outside, sopping wet in the dark was not a pleasant experience.
