For men minimum 10 bed dorm! 4 bed dorm only for women, why not also for men?

In all my travels around Europe, I've never seen two things that blow my mind. First, the room price doesn't include bed linens. Second, the person at reception doesn't speak English very well. I took the cheapest room because I only needed one night's sleep, but the room was in the basement (maybe there's internet, but I was using my mobile and there isn't any 😂). Everything was very old, and it was cold at night. I woke up feeling cold. I've never had this happen to me before, and no one is immune, but I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The guy simply took a lighter, set his hair on fire, put it out, and left the room. (Can you imagine the smell when you're sleeping in a basement? Luckily, the ventilation system, which was the source of the cold in the morning, did its job.)

Very good location near to Sockholm main station. I also liked that the bathroom facilities were separate for men and women.

The kitchen/common room was fairly run down. The kitchen was underequipped (no bowls, hardly any cutlery) and the fridges were overful. The latter may have something to do with the fact that a fair number of the guests were permanent residents at the hostel.
