STF Långholmen Hostel

The hostel is very clean. The staff is friendly. We especially loved the bed linen. The showers and the toilets were very clean and roomy. We loved the huge kitchen with the whole equipment. The whole hostel is a museum and it's absolutely worth every penny.

Everything is great. Maybe only the fact that you need to walk a bit to get to a metro station.

It is a very good hotel with a different atmosphere since it is an old prison. Breakfast was fantastic, one of the best breakfast in Europe between the hotel i’ve stayed till today. The location is a bit far, but has a very lovely walking from Gamla Stan for about 45 minutes, also you can always take the metro, but i walked everyday. The area is a bit dark while walking after you got into the hotel’s road, but it feels safe.

I understand the thing about in Sweden sheets, towels etc have an extra fee, but at least we shouldn’t handle to put them to the bed. Also when we rent the towel, it’d be good it come with a hand towel and also maybe a towel for the bathroom floor. During the four nights i’ve stayed, my room haven’t been cleaned even onced, i also didn’t request but the day i came was rainy and my luggage carried some earth to the room and they stayed there while i was staying. Even i just wanted to tell these, it was a really good experience to stay at that hotel.

Brilliant stay. Converted beautifully into a very comfortable hotel. Breakfast was delicious. Loved the museum and learning about the island and prison.

Not many negatives for me. Disappointed that the restaurant closed early on a Sunday but a few decent restaurant options a 10 minute walk away.

A very long way from the room to the kitchen especially when the 1st floor door was locked against us. It was a long walk to Stockholm city centre
